JUNIOR EVERLY PARE

My name is Everly Pare and this is my first Market Steer named Happy. This is my second year in the Chauvin 4-H club but it is my first time showing a steer. My steer is so cute, and I named him happy because his fur makes it look like he is smiling. He is calm and very friendly although he likes to get rowdy with his buddy steers. I love him so much.

ZANE MCMANN

Hi, my name is Zane McMann and I’m part of the Chauvin Beef Club. This is my first year doing 4-H. My calf is named Shaggy because my sister always calls me that. The nickname started after I grew my hair out a little to have hockey hair. This name suits my calf too because of his coat. I’m excited for my first show day and sale. Thank you very much to all the sponsors and volunteers who make all this possible.

CHAUVIN 4-H FOODS

The 4-H Foods & Nutrition Program helps youth develop a passion for cooking and learning about food while fostering essential life skills. Through interactive and hands-on activities, participants discover how to make healthy food choices, prepare meals safely, and understand the science behind what we eat.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Shannon McNally for her outstanding leadership and dedication to the 4-H Foods & Nutrition Program. Shannon’s passion for teaching, commitment to our youth, and tireless support have made this program a success and a source of inspiration for all participants. Your guidance helps our 4-H members grow and thrive—thank you for all you do!

ADAM MALIN

Hello, my name is Adam Malin. I am the president of the Chauvin 4-H Beef Club, this is my 5th year in 4-H. I may not have an animal this year but I was a part of the foods program and participated in small engines. Some of the projects we completed in foods were chicken fajitas, meatloaf and lasagna soup. In small engines we have worked on a hedge trimmer, leaf blower, a generator and water pumps. I hope you can stop by and look at my poster board and I can tell you all about my projects.

My name is Kaycee Dallyn. I’m 11 years old and this is my first year of 4-H. I am taking the foods class this year. It has been a fun learning experience for me. I have made sheet pans meals and some soups and desserts. Everything we’ve made was tasty and my family loved it. I have also learned lots of skills along the way. I can’t wait to join again next year.

CHAUVIN 4-H SMALL ENGINES

MEMBERS OF SMALL ENGINES

The Small Engines 4-H Club is a hands-on program designed for youth interested in learning how engines work—and how to keep them running! Through a combination of guided instruction, project work, and real-world practice, members gain valuable skills in mechanics, maintenance, and troubleshooting of small gasoline-powered engines, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, and go-karts.

Club members learn to identify engine parts, safely disassemble and reassemble components, change oil, clean carburetors, and diagnose common problems. The program emphasizes safety, responsibility, and technical skill-building, preparing youth for potential future careers in mechanics, engineering, or other technical trades.

Whether you’re looking to fix up an old mower or just curious about what makes an engine tick, the Small Engines 4-H Club is a great place to learn, experiment, and get your hands dirty—all while having fun and working alongside peers who share your interests.

A special thank you to Sheldon Bystrom for generously sharing his time, tools, and knowledge as our club leader. Your dedication helps young people learn skills they’ll use for life!
