Peters Fest 2024
“You shall observe the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your labors from what you sow in the field.” (Exodus 23:16)
Dearly beloved in Christ,
Harvest Festival, as you know, is the time of praising, thanks giving and enjoying, which extends from family to society. It is a time when we come to share our resources and through which we help those who are in need.
The tradition of giving at harvest goes back to the time when Lord had given the Commandments. During the Feasts celebrated by the people of God, they gave the first fruits of their harvest as offerings. They also had a practice of giving a tenth of their harvest to God and that included everything that came from ground. It was usually in kind (crops, wool, milk etc.).
Harvest Festival reminds Christians of all the good things God has given them. It is a time to thank and praise God for all His gifts of food and weather. It also reminds us the importance of all the creation which moves in the waters, fly in the sky and live on the land. This teaches us that this planet is not ours alone to do what we want with it. It is made by God and we are privileged to have a time here to look after and enjoy it.
We, Kuwait St. Peter’s Mar Thoma Church celebrate our Harvest Festival on 15th of November 2024. Let this celebration help us to love and care for one another. In our scenario, as we are not farmers, we take part in this festival by submitting our contributions, our different talents, efforts and skills to God on this day. We bring different variety of items for harvest festival auction: yield from backyard farming, food packets, clothes, handicraft items, etc.
Major part of the contributions is utilized for Church charity work such as House for Houseless, Medical Aid, Education Aid, Marriage Aid etc We invite all of you to be a part of this thanks giving service. Let us give Lord what we have. Let us keep in mind the verse from Deuteronomy 16: 17 “Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which He hath given thee.”

Harvest Festival is a festival of great remembrance, thanksgiving and to praise Lord Almighty for the wonderful and abundant blessings showered on us during the past years.
I take this opportunity to thank and appreciate for the effort and active participation of all Parishioners, Vicar, Office bearers, Auditors, Kaisthana Samithi, Organization officials, Harvest Festival Convenors, Joint Convenors, committee members for their support and prayers to make this Peters fest 2024 a Grand Success.

Greetings to all in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
With immense joy and pride, we present this Souvenir on this solemn occasion of the ìPeters Fest2024î the Harvest Festival of Kuwait St. Peterís Mar Thoma Parish.
The Harvest festival is a time of remembrance of the immense blessings bestowed on us and thanking the Almighty for his grace and mercy, which in turn triggers a realization to share our success with others who are less fortunate. We celebrate this festival with offerings, songs, prayers and variety of cultural programs to rejoice in Godís love.
