PEB-SAB JOINT PROJECT ENDS ON A HIGH NOTE
PEB HAULS IN ACCOLADES FROM PNU, UP JOURNALISM
by jose maria alpio Club presidents have the affairs of their clubs to worry about. School paper editors show their staffers how to improve rather than merely rectify mistakes; students chosen as team leaders are responsible for the assigned, everyday school project. These aspiring student leaders and campus journalists are exactly what Initium, the first joint project helmed by Pax Et Bonum (PEB) and Student Advisory Board (SAB), catered to last February 5 and 6 at Lourdes School Quezon City (LSQC). The two-day leadership and campus journalism symposium saw the attendance of guest schools such as Sienna College Quezon City (QC) and St. Mary’s College QC as well as several notable keynote speakers. Selected local Lourdesian delegates also attended the event. Inspiring with a pen Day one of Initium was predominantly focused on campus journalism, and that was also the day the journalism competitions were held. The various fields include News Writing, Features Writing, Opinion Writing and Editorial Cartooning. jump to page 3

Time to rake in the gold. Several Staffers and Editors of the Pax Et Bonum (PEB) placed in separate journalism workshops organized by the Philippine Normal University (PNU) and the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman last September 16 and 26 respectively.
