Morning rides with the Kaiserlift On six Saturdays, the Kaiserlift starts already at 6 am. At 7 am there will be a guided adventure tour and a sunrise yoga session at the energy spot. Saturdays, June 25, July 9, July 23, August 6, August 20, September 3.

Theme hike – Kaiser’s natural wonder world Discover the medicinal plants and trees in the Kaisergebirge with herbal expert Maria Bachmann. Every Tuesday from May 1 until the end of October, from 9.30 am to approx. 12.30 pm.

A yoga class on the platform at Brentenjoch is something very special. Breathing and movement are trained together. Fridays, May 13, June 10, July 1, August 12, September 9, from 9.30 am to approx. 11.30 am.

Can I use the Kaiserlift with my bike? No, unfortunately bicycles cannot be transported with the lift. When riding your bicycle in the nature reserve, please stay on the designated forestry roads.

Can I use the lift with a wheelchair or baby stroller? If the wheelchair or baby stroller can be folded up, locked and weighs less than 30 kg, it can be transported on a transport hook. Please note that the trails and roads are not suitable for wheelchairs.

Can I use the lift with a dog? Yes, as long as the dog can sit on your lap. There are also two chairs with an installed dog box – these can be used to transport larger dogs.

Is my child allowed to ride alone on the Kaiserlift?

Disabled people (70 % or more), civilian- and military-servants, students (up to the age of 26) pay the children's tariffs (with valid evidence!)

With a minimum height of 115 cm children are allowed to travel alone on the lift, the age is not relevant. Smaller children can sit on the lap of an adult. The lift staff makes the final decision about whether a visitor is "fit to ride".

The new nature experience trail Discover nature playfully At the 14 interactive stops, guests young and old can become a butterfly, discover animal tracks in the forest, or spend time in an oversized honeycomb. The new theme trail starts directly at the middle station Duxer Alm, passes the Berggasthof Hinterdux until it finally leads to the Marienkapelle on the Duxer Köpfl. The interactive stops teach you about the value of nature and wildlife of the Kaisergebirge nature reserve. The family friendly hike will take you approximately 1.5 hours. Vitality hike with Helmut Payr This hike focuses on disconnecting from the digital world and on diving into the intact world of the Kaisergebirge. Fridays, May 20, June 3, July 15, August 5, September 23, October 28, from 9.30 am to approx. 12.30 pm.

Treasure hunt/Geocaching with Fred Weidner

Folkloric music – traditional and down-to-earth. Without any amplifiers – enjoy nature and music. Local bands play on various mountain huts and invite you to a musically underlined hike. Save the date: Saturday, August 20, from 10 am to 3 pm. Alternative date in case of bad weather: Saturday, August 27. The event will take place subject to the current COVID regulations.

Where are the toilets? There are toilets at the bottom and the middle station.

Does the lift also operate in bad weather? The lift operates daily from April 30 to October 31, from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, unless heavy thunderstorms are forecasted. In case of doubt call +43 5372 6930-363 for more information.

Nature experience Kaisergebirge

Yes, with the KufsteinCard (valid for 365 days) you have unlimited access not only to the Kaiserlift but also to the public swimming pool, lake Hechtsee, the city buses, the recycling center and the ice arena. You can also visit the Festung Kufstein (including fortress cable car), the "Sinnfonie" at Riedelglas and the public library "kubi" in the building of the Fachhochschule Kufstein Tirol. An addition since 2022: the home games of the hockey club Kufstein Dragons.

Running through meadows and forests: uphill and downhill and over edge and ditch. Run together through the imperial nature. Fridays, July 22, September 16, October 7, from 1.30 pm to approx. 4.30 pm.

Can the KufsteinCard be used for the Kaiserlift?

At the nine stops of the geology trail you will learn interesting facts about the formation of the Kaisergebirge.

It takes approx. 15 minutes to reach the middle station, and the Brentenjoch top station is reached in approx. 30 minutes. In the middle station you have to change.

The Bergbahn Erlebnis-Card Wilder Kaiser-Brixental and the Kitzbüheler Alpen Sommer Card are valid for the Kaiserlift. The same applies to the TirolSnowcard (only from May 1 to 15 and in October) as well as the SkiWelt season ticket (only in October).

With Tai Chi Quan, Qi Gong and the power of nature you will find the way to balance, connectedness and inner peace. Fridays, May 6, June 17, July 8, July 29, August 19, September 2, October 14, from 9.30 am to approx. 12.30 pm.

Where is the treasure hidden? Go on a treasure hunt in the Kaisergebirge, equipped with a GPS device or a phone app. Fridays, May 27, June 24, August 26, September 30, October 21, from 1.30 pm to approx. 4.30 pm.

Does parking at the Kaiserlift cost anything?

The Kaiserlift is part of the largest mountain experience of the Alps Due to the partnership of the Bergbahnen Wilder Kaiser (Ellmau - Going) with the Kaiserlift Kufstein new perspectives are opened up for all hiking and nature lovers thanks to combination tariffs. The Kaiserlift can be used with the Bergbahn Erlebnis-Card Wilder Kaiser-Brixental (day or season ticket)! With only one ticket you have access to 15 mountain railroads, seven unique mountain adventure worlds ('BergErlebnisWelten'), the Naturerlebnis Kaisergebirge, over 700 km of well-maintained hiking trails, the KaiserJet and 30 bonus partners. The Bergbahn Erlebnis-Card Wilder Kaiser - Brixental is available in the SkiWelt as well as at the Kaiserlift and the Stadtwerke Kufstein. The season ticket for summer 2022 costs: adults € 200,- / youth (born 2004 - 2006) € 150,- / children (born 2007 - 2017) € 100,-.

Yes, it is a private parking lot, where you have to pay for parking between May 1 and October 31. You can get the day ticket for € 3,- at the two coin-operated machines at the parking lot. Please pay the exact amount, because the machines do not change and do not accept banknotes. At the rear machine (near lift station) a payment by ATM card is possible. Bicycle parking is available free of charge.

Why does the lift stop sometimes? Safety has a high importance to us. To ensure that visitors can get on and off the Kaiserlift safely it is sometimes necessary to stop. The ride will continue after a couple of seconds. If the lift stops for a longer period, please stay calm and listen to the loudspeaker announcements.

Is it possible for the lift to slow down when getting on / off? Yes. Please inform the lift staff before you get on. The speed of the lift will be reduced. Your chair will be marked with a small yellow or red sign as an indication for the requested assistance when exiting the lift.

Feel the uniqueness On the high plateau, which stretches from the Brentenjoch to the Steinbergalmen, hikers and passionate mountaineers will find well signposted hiking trails. Enjoy an incredible view over the impressive scenery of the Kaisergebirge. At 1.256 m above sea level you can discover a habitat which has been registered as a nature reserve since 1963. Nature and plants, animals and alpine farming have been forming a symbiosis for centuries.
