MATCH DAY INFORMATION

New Plymouth District Council and our partners are proud to be hosting this test match between the All Blacks and Argentina at Yarrow Stadium, which in 2016 was recognised nationally as the Ticketmaster Large Venue of the Year.

Any match that involves our men in black is a spectacle, and with the Argentinians adding their vibrant and exciting style of play, we know you’ll be in for a fantastic evening.

Whether you’ve come especially for the match, or will be staying on a few extra days, I encourage you to enjoy what promises to be a great weekend and to get out and explore everything New Plymouth and Taranaki has to offer!

BLACK OUT MUSIC FEST, The Mayfair, 67 Devon St West Continue your night out as artists P Money, Dan Aux, Clint Roberts and High-Rizers provide postmatch entertainment until 2.30am.

CROWDED HOUSE, 93-99 Devon St Crowded House have reggae band Shady Rudy playing from midday on match day, free buses to and from the game with any purchase, and aftermatch DJs.

FREDERIC’S, 34 Egmont St The Frederic’s marquee returns, with big screen TVs and a full menu running before and after the match.

An Argentinian styled lunch will also be served from 1pm on match day.

JOE’S GARAGE, 162 Devon St East Joe’s casual all day café will be running from 8am to 10pm throughout the weekend.

MEAT AND LIQUOR, King St For a juicy steak for your pre-match meal, head to Meat and Liquor from 3pm to 11pm on match day, or 5pm to 11pm on Sunday.

MONICA’S EATERY, Cnr King & Queen streets Head along to Monica’s to experience their fantastic modern Italian cuisine in the renowned West End Precinct, from 6.30am to late.

MS WHITE, 42 Queen St New Plymouth’s vibrant pizza and craft beer garden will be open all weekend from 11am to 11pm for pre and post-match meals.

PEGGY GORDON’S CELTIC BAR, Cnr Devon & Egmont streets Get ready for Peggy’s marquee - all the food, drink and entertainment you’ll need in the lead-up to the match, kicking off from 2pm on Saturday 9 September.

SOCIAL KITCHEN, 40 Powderham St To get into the South American spirit, head to Social Kitchen for Argentinian barbeque-style cuisine from 12pm until late on Friday and Saturday.

MEET THE ALL BLACKS Come along to the TSB Stand concourse at Yarrow Stadium from 5.30pm-6.30pm on Monday 4 September to meet some of our men in black! This family friendly event will feature a question and answer session with the players, along with a range of activities that will let you get up close to your rugby heroes. TASTE OF NEW ZEALAND FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL, Huatoki Plaza A selection of food trucks will be open to satisfy any hunger pangs from 12pm to 3.30am following the match, and from 7.30am to 2pm on Sunday.

GOVETT-BREWSTER ART GALLERY/ LEN LYE CENTRE Take your selfie with the biggest mirror in town and check out the contemporary art exhibitions inside. PUKE ARIKI MUSEUM Home Work: Taranaki Art 2017 showcases our region’s exciting art scene and celebrates the talents of our local artists. Open 9am – 5pm.

TAWHITI MUSEUM / TRADERS & WHALERS In South Taranaki is the museum repeatedly judged the 3rd best in NZ, behind Te Papa and Auckland Museum. Tawhiti Museum has to be seen to be believed, and the Traders & Whalers ride through Taranaki’s history will really surprise you! 401 Ohangai Road, near Hawera, open Friday – Monday 10am-4pm.

NEW PLYMOUTH COASTAL WALKWAY Stretch the legs and clear the lungs along New Plymouth’s multi-award winning 13km Coastal Walkway, past art installations, surf breaks and a cycle park.

A lot of people were surprised when Lonely Planet judged Taranaki the world’s #2 region to visit, but not those who have been here recently. As you’ll discover, there’s a lot on offer: gleaming galleries to sparkling surf, a magnificent mountain to welcoming hospitality, amazing museums to cool cafés and so much more.

Make sure you explore far beyond the test this weekend to discover all that Taranaki has to offer, and why it’s considered one of the world’s best places to visit, live, work and play.

GETTING TO THE GAME/ MATCH DAY INFORMATION There are many ways to get to Yarrow Stadium for the test, but we recommend leaving your car in town and walk or catch a bus to the match! up to Yarrow Stadium. Event volunteers and entertainment will be stationed along the route and can help with directions if required.

MATCH SHUTTLE BUSES

CBD PARKING If you’re driving to the match, be aware that there is limited parking around the venue. On match day, all public council car parks in the CBD, including the Courtenay St car park underneath The Warehouse and the Downtown Carpark, will be free from 5pm. The Centre City carpark will be free from 6pm and locked at midnight, opening again at 9am on Sunday.

PEDESTRIAN ROUTE A 2.3km blue line fan trail will take you from the Clock Tower in the CBD right

Catch a bus to Yarrow Stadium for just a gold coin each way! Buses will depart regularly from 5.45pm on match day. They will depart from Ariki St and drop off at the venue, before bringing you back to Ariki St after the match.

Buses will depart near gates 1 and 4, and continue until all passengers are cleared.

LATE NIGHT BUS SERVICE Three New Plymouth urban bus routes will run late services on the night of the test. On 10 September, buses will depart from Ariki St at 1am, 2am, 3am and 4am. Fares are $5 and there will be an east, west and south route operating.

REGIONAL BUS SERVICE On match day buses will link 11 towns around the mountain to Yarrow Stadium. Pick-ups will be from Hawera, Eltham, Stratford, Inglewood, Egmont Village, Urenui, Waitara, Bell Block and Opunake, Okato and Oakura. Bookings are essential. Tickets can be purchased online at www.tranzit.co.nz.

ACCESSIBILITY PARKING

Limited accessibility parking is available at gates 2 and 4. Requests must be made to Yarrow Stadium on 06 759 6060 before Wednesday 30 August. Upon booking, a parking pass will be issued, which must be displayed in your vehicle.

ROAD CLOSURES On match day the following roads will be closed: • Maratahu St from 3pm to 10.30pm.

• Waterloo Place from 3pm to 10.30pm.

• Tukapa St from Sanders Ave to Wallace Place from 8.15pm to 10.10pm.

• Cutfield Rd from Tukapa St to Wallace Place from 8.15pm to 10.10pm.

• Ariki St from Egmont St to Currie St from 3pm to 11pm.

DROP-OFF POINTS Public vehicle and taxi drop-offs will be available on the Yarrow Stadium side of Tukapa St, from house numbers 1-15 between 3pm-8.30pm.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY FOR YARROW STADIUM (‘Stadium’ means all land and buildings within Yarrow Stadium) ENTRY TO THE STADIUM IS CONDITIONAL UPON COMPLIANCE WITH THE YARROW STADIUM CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Stadium hirers or promoters may be permitted by the stadium manager to impose additional conditions for individual events which shall be notified in various ways, e.g. through a relevant website, via ticketing terms and conditions, at point of entry, etc.

PATRON AND BAG SEARCHES – All patrons and their possessions may be searched before being permitted to enter the stadium. • Searches may also be carried out during an event and on leaving the stadium. • Patrons who refuse to participate in searches may be denied entry to the stadium or may be required to leave the stadium. • Prohibited items will be confiscated.

STADIUM ENTRY – Patrons may be refused entry to the stadium if they: • Have no valid ticket or accreditation pass.

• Attempt to bring in prohibited items. • Appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. • Fail to comply with stadium and event staff requests.

Patrons may be required to leave the stadium if they: • Enter or attempt to enter the field of play.

• Throw objects onto the field of play.

• Are in possession of prohibited items. • Appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

• Hamper or impede the conduct of the event or interfere, or attempt to interfere, with any stadium and event staff in the performance of their duties.

• Breach any of the bylaws or enactments applicable to the stadium and the event. • Engage in conduct that the stadium and event staff, in their absolute discretion, determine may unreasonably interfere with the enjoyment of the event by other patrons, including fighting, throwing objects, indecent exposure, using obscene, racist or foul language or otherwise behaving in an offensive or disorderly manner HEALTH, SAFETY AND SECURITY – Smoking is prohibited in ALL internal areas in the stadium.

• The stadium is promoted as a smoke-free environment – please refrain from smoking in ALL areas of the stadium. • For the safety and security of patrons, surveillance cameras are in use throughout the stadium, the recordings of which may be used in any legal proceedings. • Patrons must not sit or stand in aisles or block entry doors or emergency exits. • Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times. • In the unlikely event of an emergency, patrons must follow the directions of the stadium and event staff. • When using the stadium, patrons must take all practicable steps to ensure their own safety and that their conduct does not jeopardise the safety of others.

PROHIBITED ITEMS – The ticket holder is forbidden from taking any of the following items into the venue: • Alcohol. • Commercially produced takeaway food items such as McDonald’s, KFC, Subway, pizza, Burger King, etc.

• Beverages other than water in sealed clear plastic bottles, up to 1L in size. • Glassware, glass bottles, thermos flasks or other breakable containers.

• Umbrellas • Banners, placards, flags or poles of more than 1m in length for displaying the same, or material for the construction or assembly of such articles. • Banners, signs, clothing or any other items that the stadium and event staff determine, in their absolute discretion, to be racist, abusive or otherwise offensive. • Any article which is likely to injure or annoy other persons, including chemical substances which give off noxious fumes or smoke; illegal drugs; knives; weapons and items that resemble or may be used as weapons; loud hailers; compressed gas containers and aerosols.

• Goods intended for sale (if no written permit is held from the event organiser). • Flares, fireworks, laser lights/pointers and smoke bombs. • Animals with the exception of assistance dogs (seeing eye dogs, hearing dogs, mobility dogs) – proof of identification will be required. • Chairs, stools or furniture of any kind. • Hard cool boxes, chilly bins, picnic baskets and large bags – bags must be softsided and no larger than 35cm high x 40cm wide x 25cm long. • Cycles, roller blades, skateboards, scooters or other such wheeled recreational

devices. • Cameras, video recorders, tape recorders and other recording devices (pocket cameras and mobile phones are permitted for NON-COMMERCIAL USE ONLY). • Any other item that the stadium and event staff, in their absolute discretion, determine may cause injury, public nuisance or inconvenience to any other person.

GENERAL • No alcohol is to be removed from the stadium.

• Prams, strollers and pushchairs are not permitted for this event. • Patrons are responsible for their personal possessions at all times. • To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the stadium owner, the stadium manager, the event owner nor the organiser shall be liable in any way, including negligence, for any personal loss, injury or harm or damage to a patron’s property arising from, in connection with, or occurring during a patron’s attendance at the stadium.

Patrons who breach these conditions of entry may not be permitted to enter or remain in the stadium. Patrons who attempt to enter or who remain in the stadium after being warned to leave risk arrest and prosecution for an offence under the Trespass Act 1980, the penalty for which is a maximum fine of $1,000 or a maximum term of imprisonment of three months and also prosecution for a breach of the New Plymouth District Council Bylaw 2008.
