RESEARCH. IT’S NOT ALL BUNSEN BURNERS AND TEST TUBES. In the College, research is embedded in your major. Research is about historic discovery that connects the past to the present, making cultural connections on human behavior and interaction, identifying problems and creating change.

Research isn’t just for scholars though. Research may result in a film, a journal article, a scientific breakthrough, or a screenplay. But all the steps in between? That’s practicality for your future. Finishing projects. Buying a car. Changing business models.

LAW DEGREES AREN’T JUST FOR LAWYERS. If you have a passion for social issues, a desire to improve the lives of others or a love of politics, pre-law might be the right path for you.

Most pre-law students at KU have majors in the College. Critical thinking, logical reasoning and effective writing are the top skills required for students entering law school.
