Situated 15minutes walk away from the village centre of Matakana. The existing landowner is looking into options for a public-private partnership in leasing the land for community use.

There is an existing sheep shearing shed that is currently not in operation and an opportunity to retrofit this space for a yoga and life drawing studio.

The land-owner is still looking to keep a significant portion of land for livestock while seeking viable options to do with reforesting 100hectares of the land for honey production and erosion control.

Currently my studio has developed ideas to program in activities and bring more opportunities for the local community and benefits for tourism and our environment.

Such programming includes a rotating kitchen restaurant extending into an experiential garden in learning about growing food from the farm to table philosophies and depositing food waste for collection to enrich soils through methods like hot-composting.

Other program activities include a Book Library and a healing & medicine garden.
