This was an avatar project where the theme was Nintendo. I thought that it would be fun to draw one of my favorite obstacles, but in a more menacing way.
Another avatar project where the theme was Shoguns and Shotguns. My interpretation was a kick ass samurai with pink hair flipping through the air.

In this work, I began with a black canvas and created my image by subtracting from the canvas. It took awhile to get used to this method, because it is like the inverse of creating a picture. Instead of adding pigment, I removed it. It is a digital illustration, but I used a 6B pencil brush for texture, and added detail. Things that inspired me included the beautiful Oklahoma nature and wildlife, and how I was feeling at the time... Dead.

For this project, I had to imagine what a city would like if it had zero gravity. The setting obviously had to be the depths of space.
Hi! My name is Kasey Paige, and I am a graphic designer and illustrator. My work is usually influenced by my interests, which include nature, video games, history, and my pets. I enjoy working with traditional media, although I typically work digitally because of time, both are fun. I have a long process that includes research, planning, and various trials before reaching a final result when it comes to each project.
