Der Toyo Proxes R888 ist ein Rennreifen mit Straßenzulassung – konzipiert wurde der PROXES R888 für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke. Dort zeichnet er sich durch hervorragenden Grip und exzellentes Trockenhandling aus. Die V-förmigen, 5,0 mm tiefen Profilrillen gewährleisten für einen Semi-Racing-Reifen gute AquaplaningEigenschaften, ohne dabei die Trockenhandling-Qualitäten zu stark zu beeinflussen. Dabei ist der TOYO R888 aber kein Regenreifen – weder für die Strecke noch für die Straße. Durch den geringen Profilnegativ-Anteil ist auch im normalen Straßeneinsatz bei Nässe die notwendige Vorsicht geboten. The Toyo Proxes R888 is a street-legal racing tyre designed for use on the racetrack. This is where it distinguishes itself with outstanding grip and excellent handling in the dry. The V-shaped, 5 mm deep tread grooves ensure good aquaplaning properties for a semi-racing tyre, without much of an impact on its dry handling qualities. However, the TOYO R888 is not a rain tyre, neither for the track nor the road. Due to the small amount of tread, caution is also advised during normal road use in wet conditions.
