Loom is a resource center for women and children experiencing homelessness located in Chicago, IL. It is located on the same lot as a transitional women and children’s shelter and in close proximity to public transportation and healthcare. The center serves as a support system for these particular users, designed to improve their quality of life while instantaneously working towards a self sustained long term solution of stability. For both the mother and child, mental health and personal development are the main focus. Addressing the younger generation decreases the chance of homelessness passing to the next generation as the residents will have a better sense of self and be more aware of the resources they have to succeed.

Next is a global commercial real estate and project management firm located in Denver, CO. The facility was designed to be a work place of the future while brining the local culture into the design. An inspirational working environment is created using zoning. Zones are designed to enhance productivity and spark creativity. The zones share a central circulation that allows for chance encounters between employees and departments promoting collaboration.

This inviting space promotes both intentional and chance encounters with coworkers. It supports social behaviors around connecting with others to help foster a community of innovation.

meeting zone

This space is designed for deep collaboration, supporting the cycle between individual and collaborative models throughout the duration of the project. Settings are planned purposefully to accommodate project needs over time, while promoting connection across the table or across the globe.

nomadic zone

The nomadic camp invites individuals who are transitioning throughout the day between project and tasks. The space gives individuals everything they need to be productive with easy access to work tools that help workers manage their day.

resource zone

This area supports the tools, culture and processes that are necessary for a productive workplace. It houses the work tools and shared materials that support all users on the floor.

resident zone

Torta is a gourmet pizza restaurant. It caters to couples on a nice date, a group of friends, or even a wedding reception in one of the party rooms. Like cheese when a pizza is bit into, the forms are stretched upwards in a pulling motion. The forms then begin to circle to create the shape of a classic torta which is Italian for pie.

Unwind is a sling chair that can be easily assembled and disassembled. It follows the ergonomic dimensions of a standard lounge chair and is designed for optimum comfort. It is constructed of soft maple with walnut accents and gray canvas.

Zagged is a Danish inspired side table with a modern spin. The cross on top extends down into the steel legs creating the illusion of one continous line that wraps the entire piece. It is made of Maple, Oak, and Steel. Designed in Rhino with 3D printed jigs, a CNC top and a hand welded base.

The programmable wall’s main goal is to support and promote changeability and plug and play (design that triggers interaction) depending on the users needs. Because users needs vary space to space, the walls can be produced in different configurations to support whatever that need may be. The prototype is 60”x 90” but it can be built in any size as it is based on a 1’x1’ grid. The components within the frame can be removed and changed out over time as the needs of the space changes. The materials are also customizable within the pallet from wood to laminate to perforated metal and can be changed and replaced if they become outdated.

While Interning at Stantec I worked on Google’s new oďŹƒce in Madison Wisconsin.

They were looking for Frank Lloyd wright inspired graphics. I personally created these graphics based on a famous Frank Lloyd Wright rug. They were used in the lounge and cafe areas. Graphics were created using Adobe Illustrator.

Digital art is created by request and at the specification of the customer. The artwork is then sent to a dropshipping distributer who prints it on a poster, canvas, sweatshirt, mug, socks, or any other item the customer requests. Artwork is created using an ipad, apple pencil, and procreate.

This 1:49 animation was created as a introduction to my masters thesis. The thesis centered around the demographic of homeless women and children in Chicago. The leading cause for homelessness in Chicago is domestic abuse. This is a sensitive topic and I wanted it to be approached in a way that showed how this might happen. I ended up using bears and telling a short story to solve this issue. All characters and scenes were drawn using adobe illustrator. Animation was created with Adobe after Effects.

Sound effects, music, and composition were created using Adobe Premiere Pro.

These logos were created for three different companies while working at Environmental Design Group in Chicago. The first company Astor Street Partners wanted something discrete and abstract. The from was taken from the staircase in their office and the letters ASP. The second logo is for Environmental Design Group, otherwise known as EDG. Their logo was inspired by the shapes of the letters and their commonalities as well as geometry used in architecture. The third company, Lopez Brothers Draining Contractors and Landscape Design uses a simple line to represent the path that a drainage line could take.

Jewelry was designed and handcrafted as part of “Kylee Create� which is a small business that was started in May of 2020. Earrings were hand mixed and made using polymer clay. Necklaces were designed hand fabricated but use premade charms and jump rings.
