The back and sides of the product need more than 10cm spaces apart from the wall for smooth airflow. Product failure can be caused. Do not connect hot water to the product. 2 Caution for safety during the installation • Please read carefully the following cautions for safety before installation. • If the instructions are not followed, installers or users might get injured or assets might be damaged. • If you install it second time after you relocate it, make sure you read the manual one more time before installation. • If some electrical errors or malfunction of some parts occurs, unplug the power. 10 10

In case the outlet cannot ground so that separately grounded, do not ground to a gas pipe or faucet. There is a risk of gas explosion or electric shock.
Avoid direct sunlight or heat, especially moist when install. Refrigeration effects fall and there is a risk of electric shock. During the installation or relocation of the product, watch out the possibility of damaging the pipe refrigerants.for If the pipe of refrigerants is damaged and gas is leaked, its spark can cause fire or burn. Check the status of the draining hose as there is a risk of leakage if the draining hose is too high, a cap is put on the hose or the hose is twisted. It may damage the product and/or the personnel.
When installing the drain hose, attach it deep inside the drain using rubbercompressed(applicable to models with the hot water function only). Hot water may spattered, so install the drain hose carefully to the drain. After the installation, make sure connectiontheof the hose and that of the water purifier are both open. (if not, open them.) If bolts are loose and water leaks, it might cause electric shock or property damage.

Must use grounded outlet when using extension outlet. Using non-grounded outlet may cause electric shock and injury. Do not force to bend the power cord or put heavy things on it.

If it is not used for a long time, the water inside the cold and hot water bottle can be decayed. Therefore, the water inside the cold/hot water bottles should be emptied.. When the power cord is damaged, to avoid a danger, it should be repaired by a service technician. Otherwise, it might cause fire, electric shock or malfunction. If the power cord is damaged or the outlet is loose, do not use it and contact Service Center. It might cause electric shock, electricity leakage or fire.
Power plug must be used with a grounded 220 V outlet only.
There can be a breakdown and a risk of electric shock by a short circuit. Do not move the product when water purifier is running. There is a risk of breakdown or electric shock. Do not use multiple devices at the same time when multioutlet.using There is a risk of fire unusual heat. Do not plug in and out continuously. There is a risk of electric shock or fire. This may cause the product failure.
If it is not used for a long time, turn off the water supply valve and unplug the power.

2. Preparation for installing personnel
3) Do not install the product outdoor or where the temperature may go below 5 ℃. Please be advised that environment under 5 ℃ may cause product failure of product or inlet piping due to freezing and bursting, and that servicing charge for such a failure may be incurred.
4) 1If water pressure from the source is 0.5 kgf/cm2 ~ 1.5 kgf/cm2, booster pump may be used for installing the purifier, in which case the distance shall be within 5 m if pressure is higher than 1.5 kgf/cm2(for original source). (Make sure to record the water pressure checked before installation on a separate label attached inside.)

7 Installation process 1) Check the place for installation ▶ Before installation, discuss the environment and states of the installation place sufficiently with a customer. ▶ Place for installation : Leave 10 15 cm from walls ※ If it is too close to walls, radiating heat from the condenser might be difficult and it might force the comp or generate noises. ▶ The improper places for installation. ① uneven place ③ under the direct sun ⑤ place that water splashes ② moist place ④ dusty place ⑥ narrow gap between walls ※ Especially, if the kitchen sink is made of aluminum, noises might be generated by the vibration. So, avoid that kind of place. ※ If ground water is used for original water, the water purifier cannot be installed. The ground water might cause early clogging of filters or product-return.
8 Installation process
※ If hot water is connected, filters will be damaged and cannot be used. Some homes have cold water/ hot water setup differently from others.

Thus, make sure you check the cold water pipe before connection.
※ When connecting to a pipe, tape it with the Teflon tape more than 4 times to avoid leakage.
※ If there are already an installed adapter and a hose for the existing purifier, Make sure you replace them with new ones. The old ones might cause a claim.

2) Connect the installation adapter to the piping Turn off the main water.
② Connect the adapter to cold water. (Make sure that cold water is supplied.)
(Cold water/purification model does not come with a draining hose.)
▶ Before the installation, make sure you check the pressure of the original water.Ifthepressure is low, the water cannot be used. In that case, you should install a pump kit. (1.5kgf/cm2 or less)
① Connect the white hose to the grey hose from the product. (Connect the source to the grey hose) (Do not let the hose bend or droop.)
※ Drain hose must be lower than the product.
※ Make sure to flush filter before connecting water / drain hoses.

③ Make sure the blue hose is rolled and not bent or in the "U" shape when installing it on drain or sink. Make sure the connection is smooth to suit the distance from the drain or sink. ("U" shaped hose will cause error with draining and water will not work.)
※ Make sure each hose is used for the right place. Otherwise, leakage from back draft may occur and customer may suffer inconvenience.
④ Make sure to check for any leakage after installing the product.

② Blue hose is supposed to be used for drain. (If connecting blue hose to drain is too difficult, install it on sink.)

③ Pull the filter cover to the front to open it.
Installing a unflushed filter will cause black foreign object to be accumulated in the tank and cause the water to taste poorly or there may be debris in the water.
① Valve of the installation adapter(Source valve) shall be closed to prevent supply of water to the product.

▶ Importance of flushing filter
▶ Remove the filter from the product before connecting the power plug.
※ Removal of the filter must be conducted as in the order below.
② Press the water outlet button to remove pressure from the flowpath of the product. (Splash or leakage may occur when removing the filter thanks to pressure)
⑧ Close the filter cover and plug the product.
⑨ Open the water source valve to enable water supply to the product.
⑤ Connect the filter to the jig. Connect the left part to the inlet hose and the right part to the draining hose.
⑦ Install the flushed filter on the product. Install a new filter by inserting and turning it to the right.
④ Turn the filter on the filter head to remove it. (Remaining water from the filter head may come out while removing the filter.)

④ While both the cold water button and capacity selection button flash, press the water outlet button to start water supply.(For about 2 minutes)
※ Water supply time may vary depending on condition.

※ If any defect is found during water supply, stop the supply and make sure to drain sufficient coolant through the draining hose before resuming water supply.
③ Press and hold both the cold water button and capacity selection button for 3 seconds. A sound effect will be played, with both the cold water button and capacity selection button flashing.
The ATOM model has a water supply model to fill up the coolant.

⑤ When enough water is supplied, a sound effect is played notifying that water supply mode is disabled and the product returns to the initial Power On status.
① Make sure that the draining hose on the drain(1) is removed first and then hose on the water outlet(2) is removed.

② Apply caution to prevent any water drop in the draining hose from falling on the floor.
<Sensing for hot water flow amout> ① Press the hot water button right after water supply mode and press the water supply button to check the water flow.

④ If the hot water flow is not checked (hot water doesn’t come out), unplug the power line and plug it in again and then, press the hot water button and water supply button to start water flow check.
※ Sometimes, hot water comes out right away without checking the hot water flow. Then, the product has already completed hot water flow check.
※ You should perform hot water flow check right after water supply mode.

② Water at the source water temperature will be supplied while checking the water flow (about 2 ~ 300ml).
③ If water supply stops, water flow check is completed, and hot water at the specified temperature will be supplied.

Please, do the followings.
If original water, middle valve is closed, no water will come out.
1. Check the original water (middle) valve. 2. Check the direction of valve and open the valve [OFF] [ON] No water from the water purifier!!
– If you press the button while the function is disabled/locked, the LED flashes and a warning sound is heard.
Cold water, hot water or ambient water does not dispense.
→ Please let the customer confirm that water is being supplied and then, finish the work.
→ When finishing the installation/maintenance/service, please check the original (middle) valve.
– Make sure if the LED of temperature display is on.

– When you press the COLD/HOT button for 3 seconds, the cold water function will be disabled and when you use hot water /cold water again, press the hot water/ cold water button for 3 seconds.

17 Installation process
– The higher the level is, the hotter or colder the water is.
– Check the LED level on temperature display. There are 3 levels displayed.
– About 2 hours need to be passed after turning on cold water function before water is cold enough.
– Instant hot water means that the hot water function is not active unless it is enabled. Press the hot water button to activate the hot water function and use the hot water, with the hot water selection indicator lit on.
→ Letting the customer try the configuration would be better.

– If you discharge a lot of hot water at once, the temperature of hot water inside the hot water tank drops and tepid water may dispense.
→ Except special cases, please complete installing/managing/servicing the product with cold/hot water function is on. Please, do the followings.
2. Cold/hot water is not cold/hot enough!
– Please wait till the cold water temperature is high enough.
– Pressing the hot water function each time changes the hot water temperature in this order: 85℃ → 40 ˚C → 75 ˚C → 85 ˚C.
→ Make sure to inform the customer about how to configure cold/hot water when installing/managing/servicing the product.

– Wait a while until hot water becomes hotter and then use.
