Nestled on 15 acres in West O‘ahu, the expansive 200,000 square-foot Kroc Center Hawai‘i opens doors to opportunity for everyone. This landmark community center provides a welcoming space for all ages to grow, learn, and connect. Whether you’re dipping your toes in the pool for the first time, pursuing athletic excellence, or seeking new skills and hobbies, Kroc Center Hawai‘i is where possibilities begin.
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Kroc Center Hawai‘i will be a dynamic and flourishing gathering place for diverse community; where all are welcomed, inspired, and transformed through the love of Christ.
The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center Hawai‘i experienced another year filled with positive and transformative changes – and it’s in big part to you. We expanded our team and enhanced our leadership capabilities while securing funding from our dedicated donors who believe in our mission. With these developments, we focused on implementing new strategies aimed at guiding our organization and our diverse ecosystem of stakeholders, including the community, employees, church members, partners, and donors—toward a sustainable future.
One of our proudest achievements is our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care for the keiki, kūpuna, and ‘ohana in our community, aiming to enrich and transform lives through quality service. Our Kroc team has consistently upheld the highest standards, even in the face of ongoing challenges, thanks to the support, growth, and development of initiatives like our Teen Club, the Senior Mixed Plate events, and our new Community Garden.
Our mission “to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination” has been the guiding ethos in all that we do so that ultimate transformation of mind, body, and spirit can occur.
As we endeavor for transformation, the landscape of sustainability and regeneration is continuously changing, influenced by evolving stakeholder expectations, new metrics, and reporting standards. Despite these changes, we remain dedicated to our mission. We acknowledge that there will always be areas for improvement as we strive to enhance our impact and fulfill our vision of being “a dynamic and flourishing gathering place for diverse community; where all are welcomed, inspired and transformed through the love of Christ.”
We eagerly anticipate the future, ready to embrace the changes ahead while continuing to strengthen the solid foundation of our organization. We remain committed to our faith-based values and to supporting one another as we strive for a promising and regenerative future for everyone.
On behalf of everyone at The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center Hawai‘i, we appreciate your partnership on this journey. God bless!

“My name is Yvette. I’m 55 years old and in recovery. I first got introduced to the Kroc Center in 2022. In 2023, I was granted a scholarship along with my three grandchildren to enrich their teenage lives along with mine. This was forever lifechanging!
This Center has provided my youngest granddaughter with the opportunity to take swim lessons, allowing us to enjoy this family experience together.
In short, the Kroc is a family center for growing together and sharing God’s blessings, and today at the age of 55, it has been keeping me in shape and builds my self-confidence as well remain clean and sober.
The biggest challenge was learning how to navigate being a grandma to three thriving teenagers and balance my own life in recovery. The journey of being a member allowed me to bond with my grandchildren in an environment that was totally positive, teaching them skills, and allowing them to simply be kids. They came from a challenging situation, arriving from Texas and placed in my care. The Kroc Center created a welcoming environment that allowed people to get to know them and experience their presence for the first time.
Kroc Center will enrich your life in every way if we choose to allow it to do so. God-centered and God-inspired people is what Kroc Center produces, if we let our hearts open up to new people and new journeys. It is truly, truly a blessing.

It began as a dream—a vision of a small but thriving space where hands meet the earth, knowledge takes root, and a community grows stronger together. Now, thanks to startup grants and the support of so many, our long-awaited educational garden is finally here!
Tucked behind our community center, this garden is more than just raised beds of vegetables and flowers. It’s an open-air classroom, a sanctuary, and a gathering place where people of all ages can learn, connect, and deepen their understanding of sustainability. Through hands-on
and seasoned gardeners will share their wisdom with eager beginners.
But the benefits of gardening go far beyond the harvest. It teaches patience, promotes wellness, and fosters environmental stewardship. Our new educational garden will empower our community to take small steps toward a healthier, more sustainable future—one plant at a time.
We invite you to be part of this exciting new chapter. Whether you want to get your hands dirty, attend a workshop, or simply enjoy the beauty of the space, there’s a place for you in our garden Join us in celebrating this milestone and helping grow a greener, more connected community. See you in the garden!
Senior Mixed Plate provides a vital space for our kūpuna (elders) to gather and forge meaningful friendships. We understand the importance of combating social isolation, and this program offers a warm, welcoming environment where our seniors can feel valued, supported, and part of a thriving community. Through shared meals, activities, and engaging conversations, we’re building bridges and nurturing a sense of belonging for our kūpuna.
“The Kroc really has been a godsent place for me and my wife. Without Senior Mixed Plate, you don’t have the opportunity to really talk stories with your friends as well as other people. The food is great, and you have a well-rounded program in which you have different types of activities: they’ll have a music group; you have other people doing karaoke. They have other people doing an art project or movie night.
Because I know people through Zumba, pickleball, or music, they will introduce me to these other people that they know from other areas of the Kroc. It’s a way to mingle with many new people, and that is a way of expanding your life. That’s what the true form of fellowship is. You don’t even have to be a Kroc member to come. What other organization would open up to the community like that? I’m proud to be a member of the Kroc.
