Protecting The Mission guidelines ensure The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center emphasizes safety in the following ways:

• Salvation Army personnel (officers, employees, and volunteers) are trained in child abuse prevention and are mandated reporters of suspected child/vulnerable adult abuse.

• Salvation Army personnel undergo criminal background checks.

• Adults accessing the facility may be screened against public sexual offender registry.

• Instructors are trained in appropriate interactions with Kroc members to enhance learning by creating a safe and inviting environment.

• Programs involving children are closely monitored to ensure adequate supervision and safe interactions between Kroc personnel and children.

$5 RATE PER CHILD

• In order to promote a safe and secure environment, The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center has placed video cameras in various locations. As part of our commitment to the safety of children and vulnerable persons, Kroc Center Hawai‘i reserves the right to consult public sources to determine whether any member or guest of any member poses an unreasonable risk of harm to its patrons, staff, or visitors.

• Kroc Center Hawai‘i constantly adapts and enhances safety protocols to adjust to needs.

Kroc Center Hawai‘i: A safe place for all

Family and individual membership scholarships available.

When Joan Kroc left her fortune to The Salvation Army, it was her vision and expectation that families and individuals could have equal opportunities to grow their natural gifts and talents. To honor her legacy, we offer Kroc membership scholarships (Individual & Family) for those who qualify.

To apply for a scholarship or to learn more, visit kroccenterhawaii.org/scholarships.

*Subject to funding.

When you make a gift—money, time, or energy—to Kroc Center Hawai‘i, you become a part of the largest project ever undertaken by The Salvation Army. Your gift becomes grounded in the reputation, trust, and credibility of The Salvation Army, which is well known for its continuing efforts of providing relief to those in need.
