Tips for Helping Your loved ones through Hospice Care

Hospice Care works with the patient’s family, but if the family is unable to care for the patient, or if they cannot be in a position to care for the patient, then Hospice will provide assistance.

A hospice worker and a doctor will work together to determine how best to care for your loved one. A hospice worker can provide emotional support and comfort as well as help with medical needs. The primary role of a hospice is to make sure that your loved one receives quality care. Hospice is unique in that it is not a nursing home. It provides care solely to patients who are terminally ill and have less than six months to live. The goal of hospice care is to ease their pain and suffering so they can die with dignity.
