In 1991, Oleg Fediuk founded a small workshop Totus LLC, focused on the production of moulds for the manufacture of soles and direct production of soles for other shoe manufacturers.
In 2005, thanks to the efforts of his son Pavlo Fediuk, the workshop turned into a large Progress-Lviv shoe factory in the city of Lviv in western Ukraine.
Pavlo opened a model development department, a cutting and sewing department, a sole manufacturing department, and began manufacturing men's, women's, and children's shoes. Thus, in 2005, footwear under the brand name “Progress service” appeared on the market.
In 2016, the company changed the management method from the traditional to the Toyota production system (Lean manufacture), which made it possible to form a new Lean culture in the company and opened up new opportunities to be more flexible to the domestic and European markets. He founded in 2018 a business school “ Lean in Progress” on the basis of the factory. And in 2017, with the efforts of a young creative and progressive team, the company entered the markets of Moldova, Romania and Poland with new winter-summer collections in the segment of outdo and home shoes.
In 2018, the company took a 30% market share in the textile winter footwear segment in Ukraine. At that time, the factory's assortment included winter and summer footwear: winter & autumn boots, flip flops, sneakers, indoor and outdoor slippers, EVA slippers and EVA clogs, EVA boots for both adults and children.
Since 2020, the company has found European partners and entered the market of other European countries under the private label of customers.
In 2022, the company established another MAYFED brand for a new consumer segment.
In 2023, the factory has been transformed into a PROGRESS GROUP of companies with several of its own brands
