A STRONG HISTORY AND AN EXCITING FUTURE Bendigo Symphony Orchestra (BSO) celebrated 40 years in 2021 as Bendigo’s community orchestra. Over all these years, the orchestra has provided symphonic music for the community and an opportunity for orchestral musicians of all ages to play together. Each year Bendigo Symphony Orchestra works with visiting and local conductors to perform symphonic works by composers such as Brahms, Beethoven and Mozart, as well as concertos performed by international and local musicians. Young musicians have joined the orchestra and gone on to orchestral and solo Thecareers.Bendigo Symphony Orchestra can be very proud of its success over the last 40 years. During this time much has changed, including the local population doubling to over 140,000. Bendigo Symphony Orchestra acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which the orchestra operates, the Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung people of the Kulin nation.

PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL 3 Bendigo is a vibrant regional centre located 125km northwest of Melbourne. Founded during the goldrush in 1851, it is a city with rich heritage encompassing architecture, eastern culture, and high quality arts in all forms; from performing arts to literature, and an internationally celebrated art gallery. In 2019 Bendigo was designated a UNESCO Creative City and Region of Gastronomy. Coupled with numerous wineries and breweries, Bendigo has something for everyone. Easily accessible by public transport and by road, Bendigo also has an airport with daily flights to and from Sydney. Bendigo is a multicultural regional city servicing communities within a radius of 200km.

6 BENDIGO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA OUR CONCERTS We present four concerts each year in either the Capital Theatre or Ulumbarra Theatre. Under the guidance of Luke Severn and the direction of new leadership positions within the orchestra we are successfully growing our audiences and the ambition of our performance.

8 BENDIGO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA LUKE SEVERN | ARTISTIC DIRECTOR GOLD CORPORATE SPONSOR Support the artistic direction of the Bendigo Symphony Orchestra to cover the cost of employing a dynamic young conductor. This position is integral to helping the Bendigo Symphony Orchestra become and remain the orchestra of a stature Bendigo deserves and is proud of. • Recognition as the major corporate contributor to the BSO and to the performing arts in Bendigo. • Naming rights for the Artistic Director position. • Acknowledgement in all advertising and promotional material. • Full-page advertisement in each concert program. • Six annual subscription tickets $20,000 investment One available
