From the Production Manager Welcome along to our fabulous production of ‘Beauty & the Beast - The Pantomime’. This is our first production in what will be a very exciting 2018 Season for Bendigo Theatre Company. We are absolutely delighted with our production, which is the culmination of many hours of hard work by many dedicated people. We are particularly excited to showcase so much new talent with this show, not only from our Creative Team, but also the large number of cast members that are new to BTC. The future really does look bright. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every individual that has been involved in making this production such

a great success. Without you, none of this would be possible. Conor Cunningham

A note from the Creative Team It’s a tale as old as time like you’ve never seen before, we (Brodie (18), Lisa (22) and Jordan (22) invite you to join us on this exploration of what it means to be sincerely beautiful and how one can truly be a beast, sometimes without realising it. The process to produce this fantastic show has been a long and challenging journey. The three of us met only a few short years ago, during BTCs ‘Snow White: The Pantomime’. We have absolutely adored every second to work with each other, not only as best friends but as team mates. Our individual strengths complement each other in a way that makes our combined efforts into a force to be reckoned with. The mean age between us is 20.5 years old, it goes without saying that we are the youngest creative team BTC has ever seen. Some may have thought that our ages would be a limitation on our ability to produce this show, but that has only been a driving force to prove to ourselves and to the world that age is not a factor when you are passionate to succeed. From day one, we had three goals to strive for: 1. Fun – BTC’s pantomimes are always a delight to be involved with and we wanted to highlight the fun side of participating in a vibrant and diverse environment. 2. Hard work – There is a lot to say about how rewarding a theatre experience can be, but it definitely would not be successful without dedication and hard work. 3. To create THE BEST PANTOMIME EVER! - enough said.

It is safe to say that the cast have done an absolutely phenomenal job of learning and developing their singing, dancing, and acting skills during this pantomime. Each cast member has been a pleasure to work with, all have brought their own unique talents to the team. We could not be prouder of the cast for their commitment and talents, but more importantly, the unity and family vibe they have created within our theatre community. From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank everyone who supported us in this endeavour, and we extend an even bigger thank you to the audience for supporting these wonderful performers. Finally, it is our pleasure and with great pride we present to you the wacky and wonderful world of ‘Beauty and the Beast: The Pantomime’. We hope you enjoy the show. Brodie, Lisa and Jordan.
