In this project, we had to identify an element in Heritage buildings of Bhopal which can be considered as vulgarity in architecture and redesign it.

I chose to design fire extinguisher- to redesign it's form not only to make it in context for the heritage building, but also to maximize it's functionaly

Bhopal is known for it's Parda, Zarda, Garda and Narmada. So this design's concepts is from hookah bottle( Zarda- tobacco)

For this design, am working towards patenting it, under the guidance of our professors of our college

This form made from the metal material as in hookah bottles shown above in red metal makes it noticeable enough to make a fire extinguisher but also that goes with the context of Bhopal heritage by using metal embellishments on the body

This form is derived based on the angles that are easy to hold and to make fire extinguisher easy to hold with both the hands while using

"FORM WITH A REASON"

In this project, we had to empathize with the animal the trap is made for and also with the user of the trap that is , humans. The animal for which we had to design the trap was treated as a guest and thus this project concept is briefed as "ATHIDHI DEVO BHAVA"

This trap we made was for pigeon and the solution is more contextualized to the high-rise building balconies This design is not exactly a trap, rather it's a design that allows u to control how many pigeons you want them to stay and where you wouldn t want them and it keeps them away from the balconies and also engages to make co-existence of pigeons and humans possible , which is the true concept of "Athidhi devo bhava"

"ATHIDHI DEVO BHAVA"

This design is a combination of two handrail fixtures, which are versatile and are according to our requirements- one to stop pigeons from sitting on handrails and the other to encourage the co-exi f b h b by not intruding the personal space of homes

The handrail design has the details which is thin enough with smooth edge finishes to be uncomfortable for pigeons to stand and have grip on it and the other extension design for handrail makes a space for the pigeons to come with a window to watch the pigeons.

Size - 50cm * 20cm * 5cm

It can be the clamped to the surface of railings of any size and shape

This is a modular design and the customer decides how many based on the specifications of their balconies

PROJECT 1

This was a free-lancing project I did in 2021, for a Franchise cafe- Fries and Burgers, for its first branch. In this project we had to work with two different commercial old narrow buildings, by joining it into one and refurbishing along with the interiors. We also had to work with many issues that come up with an old building during this journey.

This is located in SD Layout, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh

It was a low budget project. The aim was to complete it in the timeline and given budget by establishing the style for the cafe as it was franchise's first branch.

PROJECT 2

This was a free-lancing project I did in 2022, for a Franchise cafe- Fries and Burgers, for it's second branch from site development, construction to the interiors for a 2000 sq ft area.

This is located in Rangampet, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh

The aim of the project is to come up with the vibe on a very controlled budget and this cafe has come up now and been running for half a year.

This is a sheet that shows my work in working drawings. This sheet shows the details of the most intricate part of a building, that is, Washrooms.
