First United Nations Pavilion at the Triennale Milano 24th International ExhibitionInequalities SDGs

Parallel Realities marked the debut of the first-ever United Nations Pavilion at Triennale Milano, curated under the UN SDG Action Campaign as part of the 24th International Exhibition Inequalities. As creative, I conceptualized and developed the branding and creative concept of the exhibition to confront today’s intersecting crises through the lens of inequality inviting audiences to step into a fractured world shaped by systemic injustice, but alive with the possibilityoftransformation.

Framed around the idea that multiple, often conflicting, realities coexist— especially across lines of class, race, gender, geography, and access Parallel Realities invited visitors to explore the SDGs not as distant policies, but as lived experiencesshapedbypowerandperspective.

The Pavilion featured arresting split-image collages by Turkish artist Uğur Gallenkuş, whose works juxtapose scenes of privilege and poverty, war and peace, challenges and opportunities. Each artwork was paired with stories of UN SDG Action Awards changemakers from those ending child marriage and dismantling systemic exclusion, to those defending forests and frontline communities creatinganarrativearcfromawarenesstoagency.Theinstallation culminatedinacalltoactionthroughtheUNActNowcampaign, resultinginover 100,000individualcommitmentsforamoresustainableandequalfuture.

Hope in Action was a global traveling art exhibition that I curated in collaboration with the UN SDG Action Campaign and HUG, created to explore hope not as a feeling—but as a force for change. Anchored in the belief that art can confront systems, inspire solidarity, and visualize better futures, the exhibition featured 25 powerful works selected from over 1,500 global submissions. Spanning digital art, performance, photography, sculpture, and embroidery, each piece responded to thecentralquestion:Whatdoeshopelooklikewhenitmovesustoact?

Across all exhibitions, I led the curatorial direction, artist selection, thematic adaptation, and exhibition design. Each edition of Hope in Action was rooted in six core SDG-aligned pillars: Climate Action, Gender Equality, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, Zero Hunger and Food Security, Youth Empowerment and Education andDigitalTransformationandInclusion.

As part of the exhibition, visitors were invited to design their own interpretations of the iconic Knotted Gun a global peace symbol by Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd. Using printed templates, participants of all ages sketched reimagined versions of the sculpture, reflecting personal messages of peace, resistance, or healing. These contributions were then displayed around the Art Home, creating a growing installation of community-designed peace symbols. The activation blended play, participation, and protest bringing art into an unexpected setting while grounding it in the core message of the Art Home series: that transformation beginswhereweare.

This special edition ArtHomeforPeace explored the intersections of conflict, healing, and personal space. The exhibition featured limited-edition Knotted Guns created by global peace ambassadors such as Ringo Starr, Muhammad Ali, and Paul McCartney, alongside new works by local and regional artists including Vaan Ip and Nan Qi. These pairings created a compelling dialogue between global peace symbolism and local expressions ofresistance, trauma, andreconciliation. Set within the intimacy of a Hong Kong home, the exhibition invited visitors to reimagine peace not as a distant aspiration, but as something cultivated daily—in our conversations, our communities, andourchoices.

Leading the visual identity, narrative architecture, and content ecosystems for organizations, flagship events, and initiatives to build bold, human-centered, andmission-alignedbrands.

UNITE TO ACT

Inspired by the iconic Pantheon, the campaign was anchored in a dome-like structure real or imagined featuring four themed rooms: B.Zero1, Pop, Serpenti, and Fiorever. Each room was designed as a sensorial environment that highlighted a key Bulgari collection while drawing from Roman architecture, mythology, and cultural symbolism. The B.Zero1 room paid homage to the Colosseum with a digital labyrinth inspired by its bold geometry. The Pop room offered a vibrant, neon-hued reinterpretation of classical sculpture through the lens of 1980s glam. The Serpenti room coiled with hypnotic digital art evoking sensual transformation, while the Fiorever room bloomed with floral excess, mirroringtherichnessofRome’sbaroquegardens.

To deepen emotional connection, the concept included a mobile interface allowing users to unlock exclusive content via a virtual secret door inspiredbyahiddenentryatBulgari’shistoricstore once used by icons like Elizabeth Taylor. The experience culminated in a real-time Instagram-powered activation titled The Wall of #BVLGARIDOMVS,whichprojecteduser-generated content onto a digital mosaic—turning audience participation into an integral part of the brand’s narrativeuniverse.
