Principal’s Merit Awards Term 1 2013 At Kincoppal – Rose Bay, we acknowledge student academic achievement each term. In Terms 2 and 4, awards are presented to students who place 1st, 2nd, 3rd in their courses. In Terms 1 and 3, Principal’s Merit Certificates are awarded to students in Years 7-12 for outstanding effort and achievement and teachers are asked to nominate approximately three students in their class who fulfill the following criteria: yy Applied themselves consistently to their studies across the term. yy Achieved to their ability and this has been demonstrated in a particular assessment task or class activity yy Contributed positively to the learning environment for that class Congratulations to the following students who were presented with their award by Mrs Johnston-Croke at the school assembly in week 3: three merit awards Year 7

Congratulations to all students who were nominated for a merit award!
University of Sydney Academic Excellence Award Eloise Gibbs, a current Year 11 student, recently attended a ceremony at the University of Sydney in which she was presented with a Year 10 Academic Excellence Award for her outstanding achievement of Year 10 Dux, 2012. The ceremony was held in the MacLaurin Hall, University of Sydney and there were high achieving students from a wide variety of Catholic, Independent and Government schools in attendance from across NSW.
