Between November 2014 and November 2015, three independent collectives from Ukraine, Germany and Lithuania initiated the project Temporary Visibilities | Тимчасова видимість. Developed within the framework of the program TANDEM – Cultural Managers Exchange UKRAINE, this project aimed to stimulate the cooperation between local cultural activists in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi, in the borderland with Moldova and Romania.
Fifteen activists located and researched abandoned places - cinemas, factories, museum yards and former residential plots - in order to generate cultural pop-up actions that drew the attention of local citizens, public institutions and media. The whole process and the inputs introduced by invited experts from Germany, Romania, Spain and Ukraine contributed to reinforce the critical discussion and the collective methods of working.
