The Intention is to create a living space for professors that is going to enable them to interact among each other and have their privacy at the same time. The building houses a library which, with the gallery, takes its place in a two-story glass cube on the west part of the building. From the top floor, there is an exit to the roof which will be utilized for exhibitions and banquets.

The idea was to create small urban enviroment in each city that will be usful yungest population as well as the seniors.

We chose three small cities in the far north of Russia • Polyarniy • Snezhnogorsk • Gadzievo

Russian competition for best projects on creating a comfortable urban environment in small cities in Murmansk region

In every city was chosed area around water, so the water sports and winter games could be held on the lake since they are really popular in that part of Russia.

“RETURN OF LIFE” Environmental development of public spaces in the village of Pinega duration: 9 months

The theme for my diploma was chosen after surveying current residents of this area. Results expressed a need for development of areas that will be used to socialize and spend time with family and friends, the m ain reason why is because the closest theatre, cinema, gym or a modern caffe, were 4hrs drive away and, due to floods, available only from June until Febru ary.

Children expressed needs for an art school and small entrepreneurs wanted a place to sell their products at. I have chosen 2 locations, with high historical heritage, to focus on. The building on the righ t is known as the ‘’White School’’, built in 1910 by merchants Volodini. The main idea was to renovate it and transform it into an art hub and cinema.

The second building is an old sawmill factory from 1906. Unfortunately, the base was made of wood and repairing it would not be possible, therefore I designed a Cultural ‘’Mammoth’’ club that is modeled based on the old building. When standing next to it, this large wooden house strongly reminds of an ancient animal that once walked on these territories.

The biggest challenge of this project was a start of the Corona pandemic and consultations during it.
