How To Get To:
Columbia Gardens Vineyard & Winery Established in the early 1990s, the Vineyard is under ownership of Ben & Tersia De Jager who purchased the winery in 2013. Originally from South Africa, the couple loved the beauty of the Kootenay region with its distinct four seasons and scenic rivers running through, comfortingly reminding them of their hometown. This people loving couple welcomes visitors from near and far. Stop in to taste the award winning wines and enjoy a class of wine on the porch with majestic views
The Columbia Gardens Winery is located in the West Kootenay Region of British Columbia approximately 10 km southeast of Trail. Trail is located on Highway 3B almost exactly halfway between Calgary and Vancouver (390 km), although it is a 7 hour drive from Calgary and an 8 hour drive from Vancouver. From the south, the winery is only a 2.5 hour drive from Spokane, Washington. Air Canada offers regular flights into nearby Castlegar, BC or if travelling from Vancouver, Pacific Coastal Air lands in Waneta just 3 kilometres from the winery. If travelling from downtown Trail drive east on Hwy 3B for 5 km then turn right at the Canadian Tire onto Hwy 22A. Proceed, following the mighty Columbia River, for another 3.1 km then turn left onto Columbia Gardens Road. After a brief 1.7 km turn right at the stop sign onto Station Road and proceed for another 1.2 km to the winery. If you are in downtown Fruitvale and want to visit the winery, turn onto Columbia Gardens Road directly across from Kootenay Savings CREDIT UNION. Stay right at the five-way stop and continue on Columbia Gardens Road. Wind your way through beautiful Beaver Valley for another 8 km then turn left at Station Road and proceed the final 1.2 km to the winery. Come visit us, meet the new owners and enjoy a glass of wine on the porch with magnificent views. Store Hours: Tues. - Sun. 10 am - 4 pm
