Just as it takes a village to raise a child, participating in a dynamic group entrepreneurs who share a passion for business innovation and excellence can go a long way to accelerating your business to the next level.
ALL ABOUT LEAP! LEAP! is a six month program for East Kootenay entrepreneurs in the science, technology or creative sectors that offers a low-cost and effective way to increase business knowledge, fine-tune business goals and strategies, grow business networks, enhance business skills and propel business growth. It’s designed for business owners seeking the next level of business growth and success and employs the proven system of “value-added” knowledge, skills and perspectives that comes from bringing together dynamic entrepreneurs from non-competing businesses. The core principle is that many good minds working together will almost always outperform one good mind working on its own. Participants stand to gain valuable new perspectives on their business and opportunities to strengthen it. The program is intended to support participants in addressing common business challenges and opportunities, facilitating strategic knowledge exchange and goal setting, problem solving, peer support, guidance and feedback, not to mention strengthening the regional network of entrepreneurs. Depending on the group’s needs and interests, LEAP! will engage outside experts and mentors to help untangle and tackle common business challenges.
THE DETAILS WHO: 6-10 owners of non-competing businesses that have a cornerstone in one of the following sectors: science, technology, manufacturing, creative industries, green building, value-added products (food, wood, etc). The group has a dedicated facilitator/coordinator and outside experts will be engaged as per program budget. FORMAT: 6 sessions over 6 months for a total of 18 hours. At least four sessions will be face-to-face and will be rotated through different East Kootenay communities. COMMITMENT LEVEL: Professional. LEAP! participants are expected to attend all 6 sessions. CONFIDENTIALITY: All participants will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. What is discussed at LEAP!, stays at LEAP!
