3 Day / 2 Night Uluru Eco Safari

About Uluru

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, whose main attractions are Uluru (Ayres Rock) and Kata Tjuta (Mt. Olga), is the best known, most visited and most photographed place in the Northern Territory. A World Heritage Area, managed jointly by the Aboriginal traditional owners and the Australian Nature Conservation Agency, there is a great deal to enjoy in the park including photography, magnificent views, sunsets and the changing colors of Uluru, especially at sunrise and sunset.

This three-day safari of Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon is perfect for experience seekers wanting an authentic small group 4WD experience with the luxury of hotel accommodation. Your tour will feature stunning scenery, beautiful walks and lovely food and wine. You’ll stay clear of the crowds and drive along bush tracks to your destinations that include options such as the ‘Sounds of Silence’ dinner and Aboriginal guided Mala Walk at Uluru. This safari is designed with total flexibility and offers you the choice to commence your safari in either Alice Springs or Uluru.

Uluru / Ayres Rock is the world’s largest monolith, measuring over 5 miles around the base, and rising 380 yards about the mulga plain. Named Uluru by the Aborigines, it is a sacred monument to them, and the walls of the caves, which comb the base, are covered in Aboriginal carvings and paintings, many of which are thousands of years old. Kata Tjuta / The Olgas are a dramatic series of 36 dome-like rock formations which stand up to 1,800 feet high and cover an area of 13 square miles. Like Uluru, they produce an incredible light show at sunset and to walk amongst them is a memorable experience.
