7b – POLYCARBONATE according to detailed information

(not included in the instructions)

1 – BUILDING THE FOUNDATION

It is necessary to make 6 pcs of footings with the following dimensions:

60x60 cm, min. 80 cm deep.

STEP 1.1 – footing arrangement

Arranging the footings according to the construction drawing. In order to facilitate precise execution of footings, you may:

·make use of taut string lines laid out accordingly

·mark the upper, target face of the combined footing, e.g., using boards assembled into a 60x60 square; level the boards and verify their vertical height with a water level

The goal is to obtain precisely made footings using dimensions as provided in the construction drawing. The upper face of the footing should be horizontal, the elevation of all 4 footings should preferably be the same.

Spacing of foundation footings

1 – BUILDING THE FOUNDATION

Any of the 6 footings should have:

·a centrally located protective pipe with a diameter of ~40mm (to pull the cables through)

·20x3 mm galvanised sheet metal hoop iron recessed into the footing

STEP 1.2 – preparation of the footing using a protective pipe and hoop iron rys. 2.

1 – BUILDING THE FOUNDATION

STEP 1.3 – casting concrete footing

Instructions:

·using a minimum C25/30 grade concrete; water tightness grade of W8

·pour the concrete directly into the ground

·min. 80 cm deep or to frost depth

After pouring the foundation, wait for the concrete to set completely

1 – BUILDING THE FOUNDATION is complete

rys. 3.

2 – POST BASES

STEP 2.1 – drilling holes in the footings:

After the footings have cured (the concrete has set completely), drill 4 holes in each footing. Diameter of holes according to the specification of the used bonded anchor fi12 (according to the manufacturer's guidelines); anchor made of at least A2 steel, using mortar e.g. FISCHER Injection system FIS V Plus.

Embed O12mm 8.8 grade anchor rods to a depth of min. 150mm in the foundation footing.

rys. 4.

2 – POST BASES

STEP 2.2 – installation of post bases

Fix the post bases leaving a gap of ca. 20-30mm from the face of the concrete footing.

Level the set of footings very precisely, e.g. using a water level or levelling instrument, so that they all sit at the same height and the anchor plate remains level.

After levelling and final verification of the position of the bases, prepare grout with non-shrink assembly mortar e.g. CERESIT CX-15.

2 – POST BASES

Completed STAGE 2: a set of 6 levelled steel bases for mounting the structure. The steel bases are permanently joined with the foundation footings.

STEP 3.1 – installation of brackets on posts, mounting posts

STEP 3.1 – mounting post connectors, mounting posts rys. 7.

3 – LOAD BEARING STRUCTURE: POSTS, TRANSOMS

After the assembly mortar has cured, take the following steps for each post:

- on top of each post, mount a connector for 8pcs of M10 bolts - at the appropriate location (depending on the height), mount the post on the steel bases using 8pcs of M10 bolts;

STEP 3.1 – mounting post connectors, mounting posts rys. 8.
