Let’s imagine that in one place we can find mountain trails for those who feel like hiking, mineral waters with pro-health properties, ski stations for eager amateurs of sports, museums which will satisfy those hungry for history, a fun park for the youngest and thrill seekers and let’s add to it the Highlander folklore. Pure idyll! In the south-west part of Lesser Poland, in the Rabczańska Valley which is surrounded by mountains, there is Rabka-Zdrój – a magical resort. Its location lets us admire magnificent views as the Gorce, the Island Beskids, the Żywiec Beskids and Podhale rise over the valley. Due to such richness of mountains, visitors can choose from a variety of trails, easier or more demanding ones. We
can hit them on foot, by bike or on skis – we should choose our most comfortable and favourite way.
On the basis of brine, which is present in Rabka Commune, a spa was formed. Tourists take advantage of its properties in sanatoria, mineral water pump rooms or brine graduation towers. Nothing else lets us relax and run away from the hustle and bustle of a big city than the mountain climate. Another treasure of Rabka-Zdrój is the heritage of Highlanders and stories connected with Cistercian Fathers and brigands who used to live in the area. All the attractions of the town are easily accessible as it lies on the crossroads of traffic routes from Cracow to Zakopane and from Bielsko-Biała to Nowy Sącz.

A spa town
The vast Spa Park is situated in the central part of Rabka-Zdrój. It is a place of rich history whose beginnings date back to the second half of the 19th century. The park is surrounded by the most significant spa facilities but it is an attraction in itself, a place where you can stroll surrounded by nature, rest in the mountain climate and have fun – simply enjoy your time. The western part of the park is the so-called sun zone which is devoted to rest and recreation. There are thematic gardens, a brine

graduation tower, a playground, tennis courts, a trial park or a skatepark. We can take a break and have a cup of coffee in a cafe. The eastern part is the shadow zone created in the style of an English garden where we can walk and calm down. On the edge of the park there is the Brine Graduation Tower and the Mineral Water Pump Room. The Boulevards by the Poniczanka stretch along the Spa Park – they are an ideal place for walking or cycling.

A stop for rest
A small family facility ‘Przystanek Rabka’ (‘Rabka Stop’) provides accommodation and a comfortable stay in Rabka-Zdrój in every season. It is situated close to the railway station so we can reach the place not only by car or bus but also by train. While booking your stay at the place, you can choose from a wooden cottage (72 m2) which can accommodate 7 guests. It is an ideal choice for those who seek an intimate, peaceful atmosphere. A private garden, a gazebo and a barbecue site encourage us to choose the place. A two-storey building consists of a living room with a big, fold-out sofa and a TV,
a well-equipped kitchen, and a bathroom. There is a bedroom with two double beds and three single ones and a toilet. Guests can also choose a 4-person apartment/ studio which is recommended for families with children or for a small group of friends. There is a 3-person room/ studio for couples or a family with a child and a 5-person apartment which is located on the ground floor of a historic tenement house. All the places have fully equipped kitchens where one may prepare their meals. If you do not feel like cooking, take advantage of the ads which are in the rooms and order some take-away.

Rabka Stop offers licensed transportation services. They will give you a lift to spots where hiking trails start, take you for a trip to the most popular places in the region,

take you to the airport or any other places. The hosts will give you all the necessary information concerning transport services.
A place full of attractions
Rabka-Zdrój delights with its location and magnificent views. There are numerous trails. The place is historically and culturally rich and offers delicious cuisine. Its climate has a beneficial effect on visitors. Apart from hiking trails, there are a variety of attractions either for children or adults. If you are in the vicinity, visit Rabkoland and have some fun. The fun park, which is dedicated to children, is full of roller coasters, carousels and other attractions both for children or adults. There is the Ferris Wheel which is 28 m high, the Flying Bus, the Auto-Scooter, the Great Circus, the Funny Farm, the
Haunted House or the Crooked House. You children will be delighted, and so will you! Rabka is claimed to be the Town of Children of the World so families with children will not get bored there. Other attractions include the Puppet Theatre ‘Rabcio’, the Chrząszcz Theatre in Trzcina, the Open-air Rail Museum in Chabówka, the Spa Park or the Line Park. In winter you can visit an ice rink, a ski station or take part in a sleigh ride with a campfire and a Highlander feast. Trails covered with snow are also tempting for those who enjoy hiking in snow.
