Press release Konica Minolta and Raber+Märcker sign share purchase agreement Langenhagen/Germany, December 7th, 2012 Konica Minolta Business Solutions Deutschland GmbH signed a share purchase agreement with Raber+Märcker Beteiligungs GmbH regarding Raber+Märcker GmbH from Stuttgart. Raber+Märcker belongs to the leading software and system houses for integrated IT solutions in Germany. With this strategic investment Konica Minolta takes over the majority-interest of 80 percent on this IT company. The existing shareholders will keep their interests of 20 percent furthermore. One of the core strategies of Konica Minolta is to provide high added value solutions to customers. The Raber+Märcker group offers high expertized Business Process Consultancy (BPC) and system integrations which fit to the different customer demand (vertical solutions). With this strategic investment Konica Minolta pursues the target to offer added value business applications and IT infrastructure solutions together with Optimized Print Services (OPS). Together with the Raber+Märcker group, Konica Minolta can cover IT and printing solution demand to SMB/SME customers as well as to enterprise customers. As operational directors, Uwe Brand and Hansjörg Schäfer will also manage the IT company in future. Konica Minolta and Raber+Märcker will continue separately and operate together in a close partnership at the market. The majority-interest is completely seen under the strategy of Konica Minolta to push and expand its IT business. Therefore Raber+Märcker will be the platform for further growth of IT business and IT investments. In this context Konica Minolta Business Solutions Deutschland GmbH also signed a company sales agreement with Raber+Märcker GmbH regarding R+M Graphik GmbH. Konica Minolta acquires 100 percent of interests on the printing technology company. All further information will be distributed after approval of this transaction by the Federal Cartel Authority – expected in January 2013.
