Sewing projects to spice up your home by Vicki Dar Nearly a year ago I set my potholders on fire. It was not intentional, mind you. They were set too close to a hot burner. Both were damaged but, at least partially, intact after a quick dip under running water accompanied by an air sucking gasp. Though it is embarrassing to admit—I continued to use them.
