With the greatest sorrow we must inform you that on Sunday, 28 September 2014 our company founder and CEO Ing. Josef Heissenberger succumbed to severe injuries sustained during a tragic accident. He was 60 years of age.
Josef Heissenberger was known throughout the industry as a tireless innovator and pioneering spirit.
With his passion for engineering and innovation in the service of sustainability, he was a major influence on Komptech and the entire environmental technology industry, and helped make the world a little greener every day.
In just 20 years Heissenberger built Komptech into a global player and world market leader in its categories.
In recent years Heissenberger had withdrawn more and more from daily operations, successfully establishing a management team that will now continue to lead Komptech in his spirit. The function of CEO will be assumed by the former Technical Managing Director Dr. Heinz Leitner.
