KPRD PARK PASSPORT

The KPRD Park Passport Program is an initiative designed to encourage exploration of Kokomo’s parks and recreational areas Participants can obtain a passport booklet, which serves as a guide to the city’s parks. As individuals visit each park, they can collect unique stamps at designated locations. After collecting so many stamps, participants can validate their passports at the Park Office for special prizes! Passports can be picked up at the park office or at the Kirkendall Nature Center.

THE WALKPATH BEGINNING SOUTH OF THE KIRKENDALL NATURE CENTER AND WANDERING THROUGH THE WOODED AREA, IS A HAUNTED HOUSE THEMED EVENT. THERE WILL BE JUMP SCARES, FLASHING LIGHTS, FOG MACHINES AND MANY SPOOKY HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS. THE HAUNTED TRAIL WILL BE OPEN 6:00-8:30PM.

Kokomo Beach Family Aquatic Center can be rented out for private parties/events! All requests for private rental must go through the Park Office. Please reach our for more information!

FAMILY SWIM NIGHT

Join us Thursday, June 26th after hours at Kokomo Beach for Family Swim Night. At a discounted entry price of $3, families can come to Kokomo Beach from 6-8pm and enjoy an evening with water games, slip-nslides and special character meet and greets.

BACK TO SCHOOL BASH

What better way to end summer vacation than a night at Kokomo Beach! Our Back to School Bash, being held on Saturday, August 2nd will offer one last hoorah before school is back in session. This event will take place from 6-8pm with a discounted entry price of $3.

POOCHES AT THE POOL

The dog days of summer are over! On the last day of the 2025 Kokomo Beach season the Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting Pooches at the Pool This event will be held on Sunday, August 10th from 5-7pm. This event will cost $5 per dog with a one dog per person limit.

Amenities: Unisex restrooms, bench seating, shade structures, bike racks, bike repair station

Splashpad is operational from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This splash pad is free to the public!

Location: 4200 S. Park Rd (on Webster St. side of JM)

Amenities: Unisex restrooms, bench seating, shade structures, close to basketball and sand volleyball courts, close to park walkpath

KIRKENDALL NATURE CENTER

From providing a space to take a break in the park, to activities and crafts, to interactive displays and live animals...the Kirkendall Nature Center is a science-based facility that offers fun and experiences for the whole family. Admittance is always free. Large groups are encouraged to schedule an appointment with center curators for special interactions!

NORTHSIDE PUMP TRACK

Located at 2201 N. Main St. on the north side of Kokomo.

DISC GOLF

The Kokomo Parks Department offers a complete 18-hole disc golf course located on the south end of Highland Park. This course has cement tee off pads for each hole. There is permanent signage displaying the location of each hole and the length of each throw to the numbered baskets. The course is free and open to the general public for individual use, although you must supply your own discs. Any user groups wishing to schedule league or tournament play must contact the Parks & Recreation Office.

Annual CemeteryClean-Up

MARCH 15 and OCTOBER 15

All flowers and decorations will be removed from all graves and the mausoleum in Crown Point Cemetery twice each year. Individuals should remove all flowers or decorations they wish to keep before that time. Any decoration with a flower attached is considered a decoration. Please do not redecorate graves until March 25th and October 25th.
