All females are sold with no guarantees of soundness, fertility, or disposition. Plum Creek Angus is retaining 50% embryo interest of all females offered and reserves the right to obtain a cell line and/or clone every female in the offering. Very rarely is this ever called upon, but any use will be done at the seller’s expense and the buyer’s convenience. All females are property of the new owner after the completion of the auction. We recommend that buyers purchase insurance through their respective agents for further protection.
REGISTRATIONS
All females have been, or will be appropriately registered with their respective breed associations and tattooed accordingly. Registrations can be transferred immediately once payment is received. Please contact Hunter Anderson with information for the transfer of purchases.
HERD HEALTH
All females have received their bangs vaccination and tattoo. They have also all been vaccinated with Vision 7 Somnus, Pyramid 5 Presponse SQ, and Autogenous Mycoplasma, treated with Safe-Guard Dewormer, and poured.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Plum Creek Angus is happy to assist throughout the duration of all of the heifers show careers. Clipping of all females in preparation for shows is offered during the week at the farm. We are happy to answer or assist with any questions regarding feeding, daily care, and mating decisions. Show day preparation and fitting will be offered at any shows we attend or have a crew present.
First and foremost, we thank you for taking the time to view our offering. As repetitive as it is, we genuinely believe this is the deepest and stoutest set of heifers we have offered to date. When selecting the individuals representing our program, we evaluated them with multiple goals in mind. Every female exceeded our standards in skeletal composition, phenotype, productivity, and efficiency once they are out on pasture. We are proud to stand behind this set as they represent everything we seek to produce each year.
Years ago, when we purchased the original S H Miss Annie Lu 6087 as an open heifer, we could never have imagined the journey she would take us on. Her versatility as a breeding piece led us to bulls such as Plum Creek Paradox 161B and Plum Creek Refresh 561A, but the females are where her legacy is seen most. She is the mother of Plum Creek Annie Lu 4472, a female who has become irreplaceable within our program. Now with the third and fourth generations of females in production, the consistency and quality passed from each generation continues to become more and more evident. It has been incredibly humbling to see one female’s impact across the breed, and we hope it continues for decades to come.
As our family’s show career has come to a close, we are more focused than ever on building for the future. Throughout our time in the ring, our goal was to acquire females who could not only compete at the highest levels but also introduce proven cow families into our program. Within this offering, you’ll find heifers that trace back to some of the most highly regarded females in the Angus breed. We feel that this group is filled with heifers that will be competitive on any level of competition, and only get better as time passes.
