To ensure you are getting the most out of course and are on track for success, your Course Tutor works with you to set targets and mile stones, reporting progress during annual reviews and through regular parents’ evenings.

HOME

Our dedicated Care Team are on hand to administer medication and help with self-care such as toileting. In addition to this they provide support to help you make independent choices throughout the day including breaks and lunches.

Our Learning Support Team are here to fully support you in class, helping you contribute in lessons, interact with other students and increase your independence. Your learning support assistant can also help with written work, reading and spelling.

Entry Level 1 ASDAN

CERTIFICATE IN PERSONAL PROGRESS What is the study programme about?

During this qualification you will be encouraged, with support, to plan your own study programmes to build your confidence.

All activities can count towards your qualification and are designed to offer a wide range of opportunities for those working at Entry Level 1 or below. You will also work on improving and building your English and Maths skills.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through completion of a portfolio of work.

Entry requirements You should be working at Pre-Entry/Entry Level 1, have the ability to work co-operatively in a group and be interested in furthering your independence skills. Our team will be able to assess your needs to determine which level of study programme to begin at.

What is the study programme about?

This programme will build on the skills obtained at Entry Level 1 and will work towards achieving a full certificate accreditation.

You will also work on improving and building your English and Maths skills.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through completion of a portfolio of work.

Entry requirements You will be assessed in English and Maths to give you an indication of the level you are working at.

How long will the study programme last?

One year

What next?

You will be able to progress onto an Entry 3 programme of vocational studies.

Units you will study include: • Working as part of a group • Preparation for work • Individual’s rights and responsibilities

What is the study programme about?

This course will start to prepare you to develop skills for the workplace or to lead onto a mainstream course. Within this programme you will work towards achieving a full certificate including Maths and English qualifications.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through completion of a portfolio of work.

Entry requirements You will be assessed in English and Maths to give you an indication of the level you are working at.

What is the study programme about?

This course will programme enhance the skills you have previously gained at Entry 3 or equivalent. It is built around a study programme in which you will work towards your Maths and English qualifications which will allow you to progress onto your next career path. The course develops your social skills allowing you work better with others and employability skills meaning you are more work ready. Achieving a full certificate accreditation on completion.

AFTER YOUR COURSE (PROGRESSION)

Join us for a taster sessions

• Completing a supported Internship: during this programme, you will spend 1 day in college and 4 days in the workplace, working in various departments of Knowsley Council.
