In 1947, when the city’s leaders decided to incorporate, their vision was to create a community that cared for its residents. 75 years later, that vision remains. While our Island City has grown from less than a thousand residents in 1950 to almost 11,500+ residents in 2021, we are still a place that welcomes everyone.
