THE HERITAGE CLUB

Founded in 1980

The members of the YMCA Heritage Club are men and women who believe in the mission of the Y, share its ideals and traditions, and have committed to ensure that this heritage is continued for future generations. They have made specific gifts to the Kettle Moraine YMCA Endowment Fund, providing the Y’s ability to be a positive force in this community for years to come.

The purpose of this club is to encourage thoughtful gifts as a primary means of building a solid endowment capable of providing lasting support for the Y’s mission and to recognize the members whose leadership, service, and devotion to the Y have created this heritage.

Heritage Club members meet annually to enjoy fellowship, find inspiration in the Y’s work, and learn how their contribution makes their community a better place to live, work, and play.

IMPACTING LIVES NOW AND IN THE FUTURE

KETTLE MORAINE YMCA ENDOWMENT FUND

This fund, now valued at over $3 million, was established by visionary members of our community who wanted to be sure their charitable gifts would be there to care for generations to come. Gifts are kept in perpetuity and invested to generate income used to further the work of the YMCA and its programs.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

In a world where so much comes and goes so quickly, the Y has lasted. We are communitybased, professionally managed, and able to meet the changing conditions of the future.

Your endowment gift helps make our community a safe and healthy place for children, families, teens, and adults to learn, grow, and thrive. Your generous gift is for now and the next generations.

You are helping to perpetuate the work of the Y. Your gift is one of the most important things you do for others in your lifetime – it touches so many lives.

BECOMING A MEMBER

Membership to the Heritage Club requires a commitment that, now or in the future, you will contribute to the Kettle Moraine YMCA’s Endowment Fund.

An outright minimum gift of $10,000 or naming the YMCA Endowment Fund as a beneficiary for $25,000 or more qualifies you for membership.

There are a variety of gift options available:

• Making an outright gift of cash-appreciated securities, property, or other marketable assets.

• Including the YMCA Endowment Fund as a beneficiary in your will or living trust.

• Naming the YMCA Endowment Fund as a beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy, IRA, pension plan, or bank account.

• Creating a charitable trust or annuity that directs all or a portion of the remaining assets to the YMCA Endowment Fund.

• Making a Qualified Charitable Distribution, if eligible, from an IRA. The minimum age is 70 ½ and can be used to satisfy a Required Minimum Distribution or not; funds or checks must be made directly to the Y.

• In the case of a will or other deferred gift, the amount need not be revealed, but if you choose to do so, it will be in our long-range planning. We would be pleased to provide you, your attorney, or your financial advisor with additional information. The information presented here is general. We recommend you contact your professional advisor to learn how this information relates to your circumstances.
