Learning is fun at Pout Pond

Science with Amanda has Pout Pond buzzing with young brilliant scientists and engineers. Since when does handson learning need to end when school gets out? Ms. Amanda Gallerani, Taft's STEAM teacher, has continued her mission to create free access to handson science learning and creating passionate lifetime learners.

In the second season of Science with Amanda at Pout Pond continues to grow in attendance with some of the Blackstone Valley's eager and curious scientists, who are ready to take on the world! The program started in July and will continue until the first week in August. Every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Pout Pond, and is free to any child who wants to learn!

The first couple weeks included engineers design LED bugs to take home and when on explorations around the pond to find bugs. Engineers became chemical engineers the following week, where they created film canister rockets and launched them on expeditions into the skies above.
