Where salary once was the key attraction, now it is a range of attractions – the number of holidays, working from home, the total benefits package, the REAL culture of the organisation – will an employee WANT to work with you/us. We have just moved into our brand new office in Ireland and have a large number of vacancies on the careers pages of our website across the company in the UK, Ireland and Malta.
How much of a concern is employee retention currently? The overall talent pool is not as deep as we would like, so attracting, and crucially, retaining talent is always at the forefront of our thinking, but not a concern.
What is your company doing to retain employees (do you have any special methods in place)? We are looking at our overall benefits and assessing where we can sharpen our offering. Our performance management system has been developed to cover key strategic areas: Salary, Retention, Learning and Development and Retention Planning. Our PM process will provide us with the type of employee feedback and performance review that enables us to target areas where we are strong but also where we can improve and enhance the employee offering.
How important is company purpose to employee retention? Crucial to be a real player, at the front of the ‘pack,’ the company purpose and employee retention MUST be aligned – WE MUST share the same goals and ambitions.
How can a company properly articulate and share its company purpose? How can they get employees excited about the company mission? This is achieved through a myriad of ways: Town Hall meetings, company updates, the way we look after and manage our people – do we really walk the talk – when you do, you attract the best and they want to stay. Informal team meetings, there is no one method - it is a combination of the formal, the informal, the culture, how we manage, how we work together - it is almost like a jigsaw puzzle - when the pieces fit you become unstoppable.

Instant online approval. Top up Networks Cards can be loaded at select stores and Post Offices. Protect your identity when shopping online Cards are widely accepted across the internet. Cards can be issued via both Mastercard and VISA which are universally accepted. Manage your money effectively Prepaid cards do not get you into debt, as you can only spend up to the balance loaded onto your card. Send money to friends and family overseas instantly Prepaid cards are seen as a much more affordable option compared to international money sharing. Secondary cards can be given to family members abroad and reloaded for instant use. Scaling an already fast-growing enterprise The most daunting challenge PFS faced over the years was scaling the business without investment. It is not an easy road to take but it is the only one that made the most sense on the journey. It was tough and there were many obstacles but the business emerged stronger for it and the business is 95% owned by the employees. All staff have a shareholding in PFS. Now, the company continues to thrive in the payments, prepaid, and FinTech spaces. Tips to Share with Dreamers For starters, ensure you have solid control over services outsourced and then build them in-house as quickly as possible. Apply for regulation/certifications/accreditation from Day 1. By far, your most important asset at the beginning is having a product or service that is badly needed. This, in turn, creates the instant demand and start-up traction you require to get you off the ground.

PRGF Endoret
Thanks to advances in regenerative medicine it is now possible to use your own body’s resources to heal itself. With this technique, it’s possible to isolate, concentrate and extract growth factors with proteins which are present in ourselves to repair our tissues naturally.
100% Autologous (using your own growth factors)

Plasma rich in growth factor enables our proteins to rejuvenate our skin in a completely natural way giving a healthier appearance. There are five key benefits of using this biotechnology to counteract degenerative changes in the skin which ultimately increase the tone and elasticity:

Wrinkle reduction – the filler effect achieved through the use of PRGF Endoret technology softens the wrinkles in the treated areas. The facial expression lines lose their depth similar to the way they do on with using dermal fillers. Hydration – ensures a high level of skin hydration compared to levels obtained with other cosmetic treatments and has been proven in clinical trials.
Skin luminosity – it makes skin recover the lost luminosity over the years. Patients that have gone through this innovative treatment achieve a higher luster of the skin.
Production of Hyaluronic acid – it stimulates the natural production of Hyaluronic acid.
Increased consistency – promotes the increased secretion of collagen and elastin. This generates a greater consistency, firmness and reduces sagging in the skin of the patient.
Compatible with other aesthetic treatments including Botulinum toxin etc.
The treatment is recommended from the age of 35 to slow the aging process, or from 45 for its regenerative and corrective effects. Address: Tel: Email: Website: The Dental Surgery 49 Ipswich Road, Norwich, NR2 2LN 01603 507321 norwichdentalsurgery@hotmail.com www.khangura.com

Mark Hollingsworth is CEO of the Nutrition Society, a scientific Learned Society, founded in 1941, which seeks to advance the scientific study of nutrition and its application to the maintenance of human and animal health. The Society, headquartered in London, is a membership-based organisation, with 2,800 members. Its principal activities are the publication of scientific journals and textbooks, organising conferences, delivering specialised training through its Training Academy, disseminating science and supporting international capacity-building in nutritional science.
Mark, who originally served for 16 years as a Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force, became CEO of the Society in July 2014. The Society, led by its volunteer Board of Trustees, has been, since Mark’s appointment as CEO, developing a more contemporary strategically-focused organisation, whilst retaining its important historical traditions. This strategic and complex work has seen a new era of enhanced transparency within the Society and this has been the cornerstone of its global success and impact over the past 4 years.
This strategic work of transparency has been a vital opportunity to look to communicate with members and stakeholders in a manner which helps explain not just the impact of the activities of the Society, but also the decisionmaking processes involved.
This a complex area of leadership, both at the individual and collective level. Trust and integrity are the cornerstones of the highest standards of personal and professional behavior - a key component of that behavior is transparency. Ethical leadership is that which is directed by respect for ethical beliefs, values and for the dignity and rights of others. It is related to concepts such as trust, honesty, consideration and fairness. Transparency opens up the possibility to gain insight into a solution that may not have been possible if only a select number of Trustees or staff are aware.
To create this sort of ethics-focused organizational culture, starts at the top. Mark believes ethical leaders can have a tremendous impact on how people in the organization behave and how they achieve the objectives, which is why this new programme has been personally led by both him as CEO and the Board President.
This strong ethical leadership has become embedded across all aspects of the Society’s activities. This includes all members involved in leadership and other key positions championing the importance of ethics, communicating trust, fairness, integrity, openness, compassion, respect. This has created a culture where members and stakeholders trust the information given to them is the truth, good, bad or indifferent.
Mark learnt from his 16 years of military service that ethical living, and leading, takes moral courage and conviction. It means doing the right thing, even when it isn’t popular or easy.
Mark believes the most important decision made in the early years of this strategic programme came when the Trustee Board decided the Strategic programme become a standing item on the Board Agenda. Hours of each meeting are dedicated to careful analysis and interrogation of the objectives of the programme. This resulted in continuous, clear, transparent strategic direction from each Board meeting, enabling Mark and the Board committees to have appropriate powers and authority to deliver.
Finally, an outward looking focus has been developed to the programme to support the concept ‘science knows no borders’. In addition to raising the profile of the Society’s work in the UK Parliament through active involvement on Parliamentary Scientific Advisory Committees, there are now members of the Society in 89 countries in the World. This international perspective has helped in sustaining the vital sources of revenue from the Society’s global publication sales (scientific journals and textbooks).
Mark has been actively involved in the expansion (travelling extensively as far as Dubai, Morocco, Brazil, North America, Canada, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, China, Rwanda, Kenya and Argentina) into areas where the Society can add value and leverage its knowledge, leadership and expertise. Mark believes leading in the non-profit sector, and working with UK science, emphasises the importance of being a servant leader, a dual focus on serving both the Board of Trustees and his staff. He hopes his nomination as CEO of the Year helps to highlight the excellent work undertaken in the non-profit sector in the UK, and the many exciting career opportunities it presents.
Mark Hollingsworth CEO of the Nutrition Society

The last few years have all been a little crazy, says Wayne Conyers, Director of Youcall-it.com
We have won several awards over the past few years, but this one stands out given the recent accomplishments of the business. This award really justifies the additional hard work the whole company has been putting in this year.
In order to appreciate why the award means so much to the team at Youcall-it.com we asked them to tell us a little more about what they do and to share some of their recent successes with us.
Youcall-it.com was created in 2010, with the aim of unifying global IT service management and service delivery. The business connects clients to suppliers of IT services directly and globally in over 140 countries, delivering services both within “the channel” as well as directly to end customers and clients. “in those early years we had the aim of developing a solution which would allow people to work together, regardless of their own in-house systems, Wayne says. “Companies were still logging tickets via email and chasing techs and companies in different countries without any structure. By bringing together the YouCall-it.com platform and the service providers we were able to create an effective Hub and platform that finally started connecting the dots.”
You can use the ( Youcall-it.com ) platform as a completely independent service management tool, connecting to multiple service providers or indeed creating a link with those that are already established within your own partner network as a client or an IT business. We also have customers who utilise our API so they can effectively upgrade their own system capability and flow service requests around the world in a structured manner.
Transparency, a word often used In the IT sector – it is the one we hang our whole business mantra on. Creating relationships is always the point at which we start to become truly effective as a solution. Not only do we establish relationships directly between clients and the service providers we then provide all the management tools required to keep that relationship

healthy and flourishing. From the moment a service event or project request hits the system there are a multitude of tools to make sure everything stays on track. We manage response times, service levels, logistics, assets, onsite conduct, reporting, billing and administration - all at the same time. Everything works in unison - based on the initial needs of the client - when the contract or project is created. When you scale that to a Global tool you can really see why the award of “Best Full Global Management Company of the Year” means a lot to the whole company.
“We are a UK company and have been since our creation. Last year we created our European helpdesk based in Serbia. This has bolstered the Managed Service Provider side of the business as we now have multilingual capability on a service desk and not just embedded in the service platform. This year we have plans to expand further and to also to better meet the needs of our European customer. As well as building relationships we also deliver the services directly, using all the tools we have built to greatly improve the service management capability of our clients and customers.”
We are committed to continually improving Youcall-it. com platform as a service and rollout improvements constantly including changes requested by our users. It is, living, breathing, growing software and its been applied to great effect by many.
2020 is a year which we are very much looking forward to, with the progress made last year Youcallit.com aim to take that even further. A host of new system features will be being unveiled this year including a global pricing service (an offshoot from the main service platform) and a completely new contract management tool for global services.
