Activities Pool

Wibit o ers you more than just products.

We provide you with a collection of activity ideas to entertain visitors and increase the attraction of the Wibit and your pool even more. This is useful when you animate special groups like birthday parties. All games are easily managed and can be explained quickly; images and icons in the document help you understand the activities and specify what additional equipment might be needed.

Note: We recommend printing out this document, laminating and filing it properly to have it as a reference book on hand.

This can be: men vs women, children vs parents, class vs class, pupils vs teachers, camp groups against each other.

WAGA - WORLD AQUAGAMES ASSOCIATION

Legend

= number of players

= timed = Runner / Team blue

= Placeholder for any Wibit product / combination

The catcher has to tag the runners on the Wibit. Whoever gets caught has to wait in the water until all players are caught.

VARIATIONS

• The catcher has 30 sec. to tag as many runners as possible.

• A tagged runner becomes the new catcher.

• A tagged runner has to dive to the ground or touch the pool‘s edge before reentering.

ALTERNATIVE

Tag race on Kayaks or Sleds. Whoever gets caught has to dive under his Kayak or Sled before re-entering the game.

VARIATIONS

• All players are only allowed to move backwards.

• Each player has to be the catcher once and tag as many runners as possible in 30 seconds. Catches are counted, whoever catches the most players wins.

EQUIPMENT

The catcher can only tag the runners in the water. A tagged runner has to go to jail (on a Wibit Hand or Wiggle Disc) until freed from another runner.

VARIATION

• Floating objects serve as safety zones for 5 sec.

One player is blindfolded and lead by another team member over the Wibit course. Then the leader is blindfolded and is lead by the next team member.

VARIATION

• Lead the blindfolded team member by using commands only!

The team runs over the Wibit together. Time is stopped when the last team member crosses the finish line. The quickest team wins.

VARIATION

• Before the team enters the water, each team member has to put on a wet t-shirt.

Relay race through the width of the pool in Sleds or Kayaks.

VARIATIONS

• Move only by pulling on a rope that is stretched across the pool.

• Move backwards only.

• Transport a baton/ball or other item on the Kayak or Sled.

ALTERNATIVE EQUIPMENT

Each team pulls the rope. The first team dropping the rope and falling into the water loses.

Place an empty bucket on the end of a Wiggle Bridge. Each player has to carry a sponge (soaked in water) over the Wibit and empty it in the bucket, run back and hand the sponge over to the next player.

Rule: When a player falls into the water he has to swim back to the start and try again. After 5 min. the team with the most water in their bucket wins.

VARIATION

• If you have 2 Wiggle Bridges the teams can race against each other.

2 teams

Sitting on the Wibit passing a ball around for 10 times without dropping it. VARIATIONS

• Stand on the Wibit.

• Count how many passes you can manage altogether.

TOSS THE BALL Ball

EQUIPMENT

One person stands on a Wiggle Disc or runs over a Balance Beam while others try to make him lose his balance with a soft ball.

ALTERNATIVE

Who can run on the Wibit the fastest? Stop the time (start and finish in the water).

VARIATIONS

• Who is the fastest with the Wibit style frog jump (both feet)?

• Who is the fastest running backwards?

KAYAK RACE

Who can paddle the fastest on a Kayak? Stop the time.

VARIATIONS

• Who is the fastest around an obstacle course (buoys)?

• Who is the fastest paddling backwards?

EQUIPMENT

SLED RACE

Who can swim the fastest on a Sled? Stop the time.

VARIATIONS

• Who is the fastest only using his hands?

• Who is the fastest only using his legs?

• Who is the fastest sitting on a Sled and using a paddle?

• Who is the fastest around an obstacle course (buoys)?

• Transport an item (e.g. ball) on a Sled as fast as possible to the other edge (straight or slalom).

FOLLOW

THE LEADER

Imitate all movements the leader makes!

Transport a tennis ball on a spoon over the Wibit. VARIATIONS

• Stop the time.

• Make a team relay egg run. Spoon

IMAGINATION GAMES

BE A DOG

Crawl on all fours over the Wibit.

VARIATION

• Choose your favorite animal and imitate its movements and sounds while crossing the Wibit.

SAVE THE WATER

Cross the Wibit carrying a cup filled with water and try to save as much as possible.

VARIATION

• Make a team relay and collect the water in a measuring jug. The team with the most water in the jug wins.

THROUGH THE HOOP

Jump from the Wibit through a hoop in di erent distances.

VARIATIONS

• Try not to touch the hoop.

• Jump in di erent postures (e.g. head first, feet first, cannonball,...).

Soft hoop

Try to push each other o the Kayaks with your hands. The ”pilot“ with the paddle only navigates.

VARIATION

• Battle with soft sticks.

KAYAK BATTLE

THE-LITTLE-MERMAID PARTY

Decorations:

• Invitation with theme shell/pearl/mermaid.

• Underwater plants as a garland.

• Starfish and fishes, fisherman’s net.

• Birthday corner for food and drinks with matching decorations, plates and cups.

• The birthday girl gets a decorated throne and a scepter.

BIRTHDAY THEME - GIRLS

Gift:

• Small net with treasures locked up with a lock (sweets, bracelet or necklace, key ring of a fish/shell/star fish, pencil with a pearls/glitter).

• If needed a prize for winners of the games (such as pool entry voucher).

Costumes and accessories:

• Glitter hairband for the birthday girl.

• Net-lace skirts.

• Shell or pearl necklace.

• Colorful ribbons plaited in the hair.

• Sew-on or buttons for bathing suits (write their “mermaid-name” on the button with a water resistant marker).

BIRTHDAY THEME - GIRLS

Additional games:

• Treasure hunt (also possible with glow sticks in the dark).

• Dance on the Wibit with a “bubble” (balloon) between bellies, heads etc.

• Transport the “bubble” between two children over the Wibit (e.g. Balance Beam).

• Limbo under the High Jump.

• Push the Wibit through the pool (perhaps with the princess on it).

• Transport the “treasure” on a Sled without dropping it in the water.

• Collect “fish eggs”:

Two teams have to collect their “fish eggs” which are di erent coloured balloons floating on the water. The collected “fish eggs” must be brought back to the net/basket. Kayaks or Sleds are perfect for this game!

PIRATES OF THE WIBIT PARTY

Decorations:

• Pirate ship.

• Fisherman’s net and anchors.

• Scull garland.

• Birthday corner for food and drinks with matching decorations, plates and cups.

• The birthday boy gets a captains hat and eye patch.

BIRTHDAY THEME - BOYS

Gift:

• Small net with treasures locked up with a lock (chocolate gold coins, scull pendant, key ring of a skeleton hand or parrot).

• If needed a prize for winners of the games (such as pool entry voucher).

Costumes and accessories:

• Bandana/head band with scull print or sew-on.

• Pirate sash.

• Pirates eye patch.

• Inflatable parrot.

• Sew-on or buttons for bathing suits (write their “pirate-name“ on the button with a water resistant marker).

Games:

• Treasure hunt (also possible with glow sticks in the dark).

• Dance on the Wibit and when the music stops everyone has to stand still. Whoever moves has to jump in the water.

• Limbo under the High Jump.

• Sailing race on the Sled or Kayak using the paddles.

• Transport the “treasure” on a Sled without dropping it in the water.

• Battle between the pirates on their ships (e.g. on Kayaks using pool noodles).

• Walk, hop or crawl over the “plank” (e.g. Balance Beam).

• Try to push each other o the “plank” into the shark infested water (e.g. Balance Beam).

• Cannon attack on the Target Cube.

• Pirate chase through the Caribbean – tag game on the Wibit.

• Collect “cannon balls”:

Two teams have to collect their “cannon balls” which are rings on the floor of the pool. The collected “cannon balls” must be brought back to the pirate’s fort.

Wibit is not only for kids but also o ers a perfect platform for adults to do exercises on. Why not use these for early morning water gymnastic classes? free play

Form a bridge with your body on 2 Wiggle Discs. Hold for 10 sec.

Stand on a Wiggle Disc with your eyes closed and keep your balance. Hold for 10 sec.

Stand on a Wiggle Disc on one leg. Hold for 10 sec.

SIT-UPS

Lie on your back on a Wiggle Disc or Wibit Hand cycling in the air, arms outstretched. Cycle for 30 sec.

PUSH-UPS

Sit-ups on Wiggle Disc. Repeat 10 times.

Push-ups on Wibit Hand. Repeat 10 times.

JUMPING JACKS

Jumping Jacks on Wibit Hand. Try 30 jumps.

PUSH AND PULL

Push and pull from the cli handles. Repeat 10 times.

SQUATS

Stand on one leg, squat 10 times, then switch sides.

ONE-HANDED

Lift one arm and one leg to the side and hold it for 3 sec, switch sides. Try 10 times on each side.

PLANKING LAYING JACKS

Push yourself up while keeping your body in a straight line. Hold for 30 sec., rest, then repeat 2 times.

Face down slightly raise arms and legs and make the same movement as a jumping jack. Repeat 20 times.
