KLEEK APPRENTICESHIPS SHINE
Kleek Apprenticeships, the leading trailblazer in the world of vocational hair and beauty training, achieved tremendous success at the prestigious VTCT Excellence Awards 2023!
Out of a staggering 500 applications, Kleek Apprenticeships stood out from the crowd, landing an impressive total of six nominations across seven outstanding categories and three in one category. Talk about making a statement!
Kleek Apprenticeships boasted an amazing team that represented the company at the awards ceremony. Our finalists included Mandy McMullen, who was nominated for the VTCT Champion award. Additionally, we had three exceptional apprentices — Natasha Bloor, Maria Snow, and Amy Nixon (check out the Rising Star feature on page 17) – vying for the coveted title of Apprentice of the Year.
The ceremony kicked off with a display of videos, featuring each nominee's extraordinary journey and their dreams for the future. The Apprentice of the Year award was the main event, celebrating apprentices who went above and beyond, demonstrated exceptional performance, or created opportunities for themselves. The competition was fierce, with amazing stories and apprentices on display.
Apprentice Of The Year
First up was the announcement of the Highly Commended apprentices. And guess what? Kleek's very own Maria Snow of KS Hair Eaglescliffe, received this super commendation, thanks to her incredible path into the industry.
Maria defied expectations, embarking on her apprenticeship as a mature learner, proving that age is just a number when it comes to pursuing your dreams. Her story is a shining example that no matter your stage in life, with dedication and determination, you can forge a new path towards success.
As the anticipation reached its peak, the moment we had all been waiting for arrived — the announcement of the overall winner of Apprentice of the Year. And it was brilliant news to learn that another Kleek Apprentice had clinched the top title!
Natasha Bloor of Bliss Hair Nottingham was born completely deaf but has never allowed anything to stand in her way. With her exceptional communication skills, she has built strong relationships with colleagues and clients alike and has a remarkable story. She has become a true role model for aspiring apprentices everywhere.
Educator Of The Year
Our triumphs didn't stop at the Apprentice of the Year award. Our incredible National Training Manager, Nicola Aviolet, had her work and dedication recognised with the Educator of the Year award. Nicola's commitment shone through when she provided unwavering support to apprentices facing challenging circumstances together with an unwavering commitment to creating remarkable learning experiences. Nicola highlights the level of support, the quality of resources and the innovative teaching methods that are available to all Kleek apprentices throughout their journeys with us.
