INTRODUCING KLEEK ACADEMY COLCHESTER
In October 2023, the eagerly anticipated Kleek Academy Colchester opened its doors, marking a significant step forward in our journey.
We're thrilled to extend a warm welcome to the salons in and around Colchester and Essex, offering them a fantastic opportunity to support the next generation of talented hairdressers, beauty therapists, and barbers through our Kleek Apprenticeship programmes.
Tina Ockerby, the Managing Director of Kleek Apprenticeships, shared her excitement, saying, "Hello, Colchester! We’re thrilled to be bringing our outstanding services to young people and hair and beauty salons in and around the Colchester area. We hope the local community will join us at the Academy and help all our apprentices on their journey to becoming the next generation of talented hair and beauty professionals."
With the recent opening of the Kleek Academy Colchester, we're strengthening our position as the leading national provider of specialised hair and beauty training in the UK. This move complements our existing academies, bolsters our training offerings in the Southeast of England, and kicks off the next phase of our ongoing development plans.
Tina Ockerby reflected on this expansion, saying, "After our 2023 rebranding and the renewal of our Ofsted Outstanding rating, this expansion is a thrilling development for everyone at Kleek Apprenticeships. It allows us to extend our exceptional, high-quality training to more apprentices and salons across the southeast, nurturing the finest talent in the industry."
As we continue to enhance our award-winning services, we can't wait to share our expertise and experiences with current and future apprentices at the Colchester Academy. Our commitment to involving salon employers in their apprentices' learning journeys remains.
The First Few Months
Kleek Academy Colchester’s first three months have been incredibly busy and the educators and apprentices are now all settled in and delivering great results to customers from around the Colchester area. A callout for models and an article about the new academy in the local Colchester Gazette led to an influx of interest and new clients. As the academy beds in, open days and other taster events will be advertised to promote our hair and beauty apprenticeships in the local area, as well as occasional model offers.
Katrina Bickell, the Academy Manager said, “It’s been a really fun and exciting time getting the Academy up and running, and we’re loving being a new and valued addition to the apprenticeship and hair and beauty spaces in the Colchester area. We can’t wait to welcome more apprentices to the Kleek Colchester family!”.
