Most leather today comes from cattle hides, due to the hide size, strength and availability. Because it is a natural organic product, each leather hide is unique with individual growth marks, veins, scars, grain and shade variations. These are not defects, but are part of the special look and feel that make leather a highly desirable addition to any room in the house.
Unlike fabric upholstery, leather wears well and ages beautifully, acquiring a rich “patina” that becomes more supple with each passing year. It stretches and retains its shape without sagging, and will not peel or crack if cared for properly. And because leather “breathes” it will keep you and your family comfortable no matter what the season. Leather’s ability to absorb up to 25% of its own weight in humidity, means you’ll feel cool, never hot and sticky.
Compared to fabric, leather is elastic and strong with high ripping resistance. You’ll also appreciate it’s tight, strong fiber construction which helps leather resist cigarette smoke and prevents animal hair from penetrating. These characteristics make leather upholstery the ideal choice for family rooms, dens and great rooms where family and friends gather to entertain. Leather - the modern, practical choice for consumers who demand high performance, as well as beauty and durability.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
FULL ANILINE
Use a clean white cloth and absorb spills immediately... blot., do not press onto the leather. However, should a spill penetrate the leather, use a clean while cloth, dampened with distilled water and gently massage the area surrounding the stain to remove as much as possible. Allow to air dry. Never use heat or soaps as they will drain the moister from the leather and dry it out. Just like spill on carpet or fabric, the quicker you catch the stain, the easier to clean! Do not expose to sunlight to full anilines will lose their richness.
NUBUCK ANILINE

SEMI-ANILINE

Routine cleaning with a clean white cloth, dampened with distilled water, is essential as a buildup of dirt has he potential to break down the leather’s top coat. Never use any alcohol based products as they will dry out the leather and cause it to crack. Just like a spill on carpet or fabric, the quicker you catch the stain, the easier to clean. For optimal performance, do not expose to direct sunlight or direct heat. By nature , leather is punctureresistant, however it is not puncture-proof. Use common sense, as with any other upholstery material.
