So, what is the way forward? The company should enhance mass meter mapping to help eradicate accounts being billed on average as a result of unknown location. Accounts with anomalies such as buried meters, disconnected, damaged meter and static meter should be visited to ascertain and address the reasons for the anomalies. The NRW section should conduct meter tests on meters with anomalies to ensure that the meters are in perfect working conditions.
Monthly analysis of average accounts and advising the relevant persons to act on the irregularities identified.
