Hi, I am Divjot Singh, a rising senior from Will C Wood. I am fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Throughout my journey in high school, I have pushed myself to improve. I have attempted numerous challenging AP courses, and I heavily involved myself in leadership opportunities. I have also pushed myself in this tutoring program. I especially excel in Math and English as a result of my rigorous coursework. I believe my eagerness to improve and time management are my biggest strengths.
Experience
I have 100+ hours of tutoring kids in this program, where I am the virtual tutoring lead. I have also worked with Leaven Kids where I tutored financially unstable kids, an experience that is truly near and dear to my heart. I firmly believe in making a connection with my tutees so they have smiles on their faces when learning the fundamentals of the subject they are struggling with.

Hi! I'm Elizabeth or Liz Yard, I'm currently going into my senior year (12th grade) at Will C Wood High School. I have also been part of the Vacaville Early College High School program, otherwise known as VECHS, at my school for 4 years as well.

I worked with a 4th grader in June and July in Summer 2023 for 90 minutes each week (two 45 minutes sessions per week, one on Monday and one on Wednesday) and in June 2022, I also completed a month-long internship with the Vacaville TGIF (Thank Goodness It's Fun) program taking care of kids with ages ranging from preschoolers to early elementary schoolers.

I am going into my junior year at Benicia High School. I enjoy math the most out of every subject. My interests include music, sports, and helping my community. I am a member of the Benicia High School Key Club and have aspirations of being an officer this year. Regarding sports, I participate in track and soccer. Through this summer of tutoring I have taught grade school math, reading, and grammar very well. It is hard to teach subjects like spelling online. And I have not covered science often, but I am sure that I could learn to teach these subjects if needed. My goals for this year are to become more focused on extracurricular activities.

I am entering my senior year at Will C. Wood high school. I particularly excel in language arts having taken AP Language. I'm taking AP Literature this fall. I pride myself on these extracurriculars and love them both. But I also enjoy spending my free time doing crafts and writing songs outside of school. As I mentioned, I work with my school's leadership program. We put on a festival for students in 4th-6th grade twice a year to get them excited for high school and encourage them to attend our school.
