Special bulletin on the change in the rainfall in deficit district of the country

The number of districts with more than 50% deficit as on 8th August, 2012 are given in the Table - 1. The number has come down to 122 from 137 in the previous week (1st August, 2012). The list of districts as on 8th August is given in Table-1 and a spatial map comparing the weekly change in the district-wide rainfall is given in the figure. Table-1
