Pinnacle’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Humphreys-Davies, has played an instrumental role in the success of Pinnacle over his 23 year tenure. Tim’s journey at Pinnacle began in Sales and Marketing, thereafter his role transitioned into Managing Director and in 2017 he took over the business as the Chief Executive Officer. Armed with a BA Honors degree in Marketing and 30 years of experience, Tim has a wealth of knowledge within the ICT space, with an incredible understanding of the market, the customer segment as well as the technological environment. Tim has successfully grown the Enterprise business over the past decade, establishing Pinnacle as a significant player in the Value-Added Distributor space. Tim is passionate about sports and is an avid cyclist with over 20 Cape Town cycle tours under his belt, along with achievements such as completing the Cape Epic Cycle Tour, Baviaans Cycle Race and the Three Peaks Trail Race.
Coert joined Pinnacle in 2022, bringing over a decade of experience in FMCG and Logistics within multinational organisations. With a strong combination of intellectual acumen and a pragmatic approach, he excels at identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements that advance business strategy.
Coert is a Chartered Accountant and holds a CIMA qualification. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Coert is a devoted family man and a passionate endurance athlete.
Michael joined Pinnacle in 2008 as the HP Business Development Manager for the Cape Town Branch. By 2010, he had been promoted to Channel Sales Manager and Business Unit Manager of the Business Development team. After building a reputable, highly experienced, and driven sales team, Michael was promoted to Branch Manager of Pinnacle Cape Town in 2016 and then Pinnacle Durban in March 2020.
In September 2020, Michael assumed the role of Regional Director, overseeing Pinnacle’s Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein, PE, Namibia, and Nelspruit branches. In November 2024, Michael was further promoted to Sales Director, recognising his exceptional leadership and strategic vision in driving Pinnacle’s growth and success.
Kulani Maphophe joined Pinnacle in 2019 as the Public Sector Sales Manager. With over 22-years of operational and management experience, Kulani has worked for a number of reputable companies and has been utilising his skills and experience to enhance Pinnacle’s shareholder and stakeholder value. Kulani adds great value to Pinnacle’s management team with his cross-functional business leadership experience across OA, ICT, Financial Services and Telecom sectors. It is thanks to these expertise that Kulani received a promotion to Sales Executive for the Government and SADC teams in September 2020.
Anelme prides herself on her goal-orientated attitude, drive, and her ability to build valuable relationships with both vendors and clients. Living and breathing distribution, Anelme was promoted to Head of Brand: Marquee Brands in June 2021 and aimed to position Pinnacle as a Value-Added Distributor within the Marquee Brands space by managing the overall strategic and financial success of HP, Lenovo, and Dell. Being the natural leader that she is, Anelme grew the Marquee Brands business significantly to be the biggest contributor within Pinnacle, while delivering on strategic and financial empirical goals. As Brand Director, Anelme plans to continue the growth projection she achieved with the help of her exceptional team.
Fred has over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry working at various managerial and executive levels, he holds a National Diploma in Computer Data Processing as well as a Bachelor’s of Science and an MDP from the University of Pretoria. After starting at Pinnacle in 2012, he was actively involved in establishing different business units within the company. Fred’s aim and mandate is to grow the Enterprise business for Pinnacle to become one of the biggest contributors in Pinnacle’s business.
Tanja joined Pinnacle in March 2020, assisting with re-aligning the vision and stratergy within the SSI division. Tanja is no stranger to the industry having worked for companies such as ADC Krone and Dimension DataAdvanced Infrastructure (DDAI) where she took full ownership of DDA’s Communication Cabling and Wireless Connectivity Business Unit.Tanja has a very strong background in technical operations, design and consulting, and boasts a breadth of experience across our SSI portfolio.
Anandi is an integral part of our Pinnacle Executive team and has over 10 years of experience in category, sales and operations management within the ICT sector. Anandi’s core professional strength stems from the ability to identify, analyse and break down complex business tasks for common understanding and effective application within all organisation levels. She excels in identifying any potential business risks, with the ability to formulate a detailed execution and corrective action plan to drive greater business performance and results.
Andre joined Pinnacle in February 2020 as an Operations Systems Analyst with the aim of optimising businesses processes. Holding a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Andre has gained valuable experience in various sectors including supply chain management and demand planning, ERP and WMS implementations and optimisation, as well as warehousing and distribution. Within his role as the Chief Logistics Executive, Andre will be following a ground up approach ensuring Pinnacle’s basic procedures are executed exceptionally, adding enhancements to achieve further goals when needed.

Emily Scott joined Pinnacle in 2017 as the Human Resources Executive. Emily is a seasoned HR professional known for her leadership in strategic talent management and her ability to foster positive workplace cultures. Emily is committed to redefining the role of human resources in the modern corporate landscape, proving that at the heart of every successful business is a commitment to its people.
Kyle joined Pinnacle in September 2021 and attends to all legal and compliance matters from an in-house perspective, including improving current processes and implementing procedures to mitigate potential risks as best as possible. Kyle was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2017 after which he joined First National Bank where he was exposed to frontline sales in the Private Wealth Banking space. In 2019 Kyle moved on to become a Premium Legal Advisor and Lead Legal Advisor for the Mass Affluent Sub-Section of FNB. Within this position, he demonstrated excellent capabilities in delivering on complex projects, the most recent being POPI, as well as building strategic partnerships to enhance productivity and drive efficiencies.
Tammy Foster heads up the very creative Marketing department within Pinnacle, and has been with the company since 2011. Equipped with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Marketing, Tammy has extensive knowledge in implementing marketing strategies in line with Pinnacle’s strategic objectives and has set a strong focus on Digital Transformation and ecommerce within the organisation. Through her drive and determination, Tammy has managed to execute various projects in Pinnacle’s digital transformation journey, one of which being the new Pinnacle website. As Chief Marketing Officer, Tammy focuses on diving deeper into targeted digital marketing activities resulting in increased online revenue.

As a local OEM and distributor, Pinnacle is one of a handful of OEM’s that is currently approved on the current SITA transversal contracts (client device and server and storage) that service National, Provincial and Local Government Departments as well as Government Agencies and Parastatals. The contracts are currently serviced by our approved resellers for the various transversal contracts on a provincial basis.

The 100% beneficiary of the Pinnacle Foundation (Pty) Ltd (RF) is the Pinnacle Foundation Trust. This Foundation Trust was founded by Pinnacle, and its beneficiaries are a 100% black owned.

At Pinnacle, we believe that education is vitally important to the development of our country and our people, which is why Pinnacle makes every effort to be a real part of this development. Internships are offered to students from historically disadvantaged communities in an effort to help break the cycle of poverty and we regularly assist learners in schools and colleges to improve their IT capacity. Pinnacle have partnered together with brands to provide accessible ICT equipment to the education sector through infrastructure that enables end-to-end solutions suitable for all budgets. Our education goal is to provide solutions that are not built around specific devices, but rather initiatives aligned to the learning experiences of students and educators.
Pinnacle’s Learnership Programme is aligned to the ‘NSDS III’ (National Skills Development Strategy III) vision to have a skilled and capable workforce who share in and contribute to the benefits and opportunities of economic expansion and an inclusive growth path.
Pinnacle currently offers 6 different learnership programmes, benefiting 65 employed and 9 unemployed learners. These learnership programmes range all the way from entry-level business applications through to executive level management and specialist programmes. In FY2025 we will expend our offering to include 8 learnership and training programs focusing on emerging technologies and 4IR technical specialities including: Cyber Security, Cloud Solutions, AI and Marketing.
Just as we are passionate about the youth of our country, Pinnacle also believes in ensuring our employees are well taken care of. Wellness Days are hosted annually at the various Pinnacle branches enabling employees to receive general health examinations and advice from healthcare professionals. In addition Pinnacle offers staff and their families a support programme through ICAS. This programme allows staff to obtain legal, financial and physiological advisory support free of charge.
The Amy Foundation, formerly known as the Amy Biehl Foundation, is a non-profit organisation in Cape Town, South Africa, dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth through education, cultural activities, and skills training. Established in memory of anti-apartheid activist Amy Biehl, the foundation aims to prevent youth violence and promote personal and professional development. A key initiative is its learnership programme, which provides comprehensive training to help young adults enter the workforce. The recent donation of laptops by Pinnacle ICT enhances this programme, enabling digital learning and improving computer literacy. This partnership highlights the vital role of collaboration between non-profits and the private sector in driving social change and fostering a brighter future for South Africa’s youth.
