The Oxford Comma, also known as the Harvard or Serial comma, aids to clarify meaning and reduce ambiguity when writing or reading. It is used in a list of three or more items before the ‘and’ or the ‘or’. The Oxford Comma isn’t right or wrong, but whether one uses it or not, it should be done consistently. This comma is often said to be used by English or grammar fanatics, and especially by ‘old-school’ writers. This is representative of me as a writer.
