TOMRA’S UK DISTRIBUTION CENTRE IN BATHGATE ItwasarealpleasuretovisitTOMRA’sUKdistributioncentreinBathgateinJune

I was impressed by the scale of TOMRA’s ambition and proud to see such a significant player in global sustainability investing right here in the constituency. The Bathgate hub plays a central role in the UK’s journey towards Net Zero, supporting the rollout of Deposit Return Schemes and showcasing the power of localinnovationintacklingnationalandglobalchallenges

VISIT TO RHA TRAINING CENTRE IN BATHGATE

I recently visited the RHA training centre in Bathgate to learn more about the work being done to support the industry in Scotland and heard directly from thoseworkingtofuture-proofthesector.

As part of the visit, I entered the RHA’s state-of-the-art HGV simulator, giving her first-hand insight into the high standards drivers are trained to meet. The simulatorexperiencehighlightedtheskillsandfocusrequiredtooperatesafely andefficientlyonScotland’sroads.

BONESS UTD COMMUNITY FC

My thanks to Boness Utd Community FC, the SFA and Scottish Gas for inviting me to see the summer club firsthand and have the chance to speak to the young peoplewhowerehavingablast!

Itwasalsogreattomeetthethosewhohadbeenwiththe Clubsincetheyweretots,andarenowcoachingyounger kidswhilstpursuingtheircoachingbadges-aclubforthe communitybythecommunity.

INVINITY BATHGATE FACTORY

It was great to join Energy Minister Michael Shanks MP at Invinity Energy facility in Bathgate.

We saw their vanadium flow battery tech in action charging, discharging, and showcasing its safety & low noise.

Scotland is leading the way in the UK's clean power mission!

FORTH RESOURCE MANAGEMENT WHITBURN

In July I spent some time at the Forth Resource Management site at Balgornie in Whitburn and spoke to Tommy about his commitment to Reduce Reuse and Recycle greenwaste

Ill-fitting PPE is putting women and diverse communities of workers at risk. When visiting Arco's site in Linlithgow back in November, I saw the crucial role of PPE in supporting our localindustriesandkeepworkerssafe.

I voted against the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill this afternoon I'mdisappointedthatthebillnarrowly passed the third reading, and this meansitwillnowgototheLords.

I raised the shortage of Galantamine capsules, used to treat Alzheimer’s, with theLeaderoftheHousetoday.
