Junior, Infant and Pre-School Newsletter Issue 7 Friday 20 January 2017 Dear Parents Welcome to 2017 and the Spring Term!
It was super to see so many smiling and well-rested faces on the first day, with the children looking very pleased to be back in school. They have good reason to feel that way, as there is a huge amount to look forward to. The new year and new term are both accompanied by the wonderful sense of possibility that comes with a fresh start. However, in our first assembly of 2017, I deliberately avoided the subject of resolutions in any shape or form. Instead, we talked much more widely about ‘plans for the future’ and I gave each pupil the task of writing down what they would like to achieve over the next two terms. Many of their answers were inspiring, illuminating, thoughtful and caring. The challenge for them now is to try and achieve their aims over the next two terms. We would like to wish all of the children in Year 6 good luck with their Entrance Exams tomorrow. They have all worked extremely hard and can be very proud of all that they have achieved. Please can I remind everyone to proceed with caution when driving and walking in the car park. Do encourage children to take care and please ensure that your driving speeds are kept very low. A polite reminder that there should be no parking on yellow lines. Thank you for your help. Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
