Junior, Infant and Pre-School Newsletter Issue 5 Tuesday 5 December 2017 Dear Parents Winter has ‘officially’ begun and the season of Advent is upon us. The children (and at least one adult I know!) have enjoyed starting their advent calendar countdown, Christmas trees have started appearing around the school and Nativity rehearsals and the distant sounds of carols being prepared, can be heard around the school. There is a definite sense of entering the season of goodwill which means so much to us all. Although there is still much work to be done in the classroom, Christmas treats are being lined up everywhere, the weather is doing its bit to be Jack Frost and the level of good cheer (despite the increasing busyness) is high! This time next week we will be putting finishing touches to the Junior Carol Service and our Infant Nativity, ‘Christmas with the Aliens’, and I look forward to seeing all of our parents at these events for what is always a highlight of this term, full of warm-heartedness and affirmations. Whilst on the Christmas theme, I would like to express my thanks to the Friends of Kirkham Grammar School for their hard work in organising a wonderful Christmas Fair last Friday.

In conclusion, don’t forget to keep your eyes open for our resident Christmas Elf! Best wishes as always Annette Roberts Mrs AS Roberts Headmistress
