Kirkham Grammar School Junior, Infant and Pre-School Issue 1 Friday 18 September 2015 Dear Parents I am pleased to report that we have had an exceptionally positive start to the Academic Year. The school is buzzing with activity and the children have settled into their routines superbly, including our new starters, who have integrated into school life with ease. I would also like to welcome our new members of staff, Mr Stuart Lewis Assistant Head, Miss Eleanor De Maine J4W form teacher and Mrs Rachael McGregor J4X teacher. Our clubs, both at lunchtime and after school, are well subscribed and I hope the children enjoy the vast array of extra-curricular activities on offer. We have this week had a very colourful Book Week and as you read further into this newsletter, you will see some of the fantastic costumes that the children dressed up in. Sports fixtures are underway and I am delighted to say we have achieved pleasing results both in our home and away fixtures. The J3 children are now looking forward to their Bushcraft Trip on Wednesday and I myself, am very much looking forward to joining the children for one of the two nights!
Finally, I would like to thank all the parents who came to our Parents Social & Information Evening earlier this week. I was thrilled to see such a good turnout and I felt that the evening was a real success. I trust the short information sessions given by the teaching staff were helpful to you, however, should you have any further questions regarding your child’s school year please do not hesitate to contact form staff at any time. Wishing you all a very Happy Weekend. Mrs AS Roberts Follow me on Twitter: Annette Roberts @KGJShead
